Well we do have two too 25 wins which basically makes this like the 4th best season in school history. Lol
It’s that BigXII tag already doing work for us. Navy took ranked ND to the wire and made it a game with ranked Cincy in the last 2 weeks. I think we just got our first official “Quality Loss” gentlemen
If UCF isn’t ranked, and assuming Houston isn’t ranked either — and both teams win Saturday — the visiting team in the championship game would be determined by an average of computer ratings, the spokesperson said. This is because the loser of Tulane-Cincinnati, UCF and Houston would all have two losses in league play and there would be a three-way tie for second place. Although UCF would have the head-to-head advantage over the loser of Tulane-Cincinnati in a two-way tie, that advantage would go away in a three-way tie because UCF and Houston haven’t played this season. This is why CFP rankings could help UCF by essentially taking the loser of Tulane-Cincinnati out of the equation because UCF would be the highest CFP-ranked team to win in the final week of the regular season. A win over USF — along with being ranked by the CFP committee — would put UCF in the AAC title game, according to the conference. However, if UCF and Houston aren’t ranked by the CFP committee — and the Knights and Cougars win their finales — there would be a three-way tie between the Knights, Cougars and the loser of Tulane-Cincinnati. All three teams would be 6-2 in league play. The highest-rated team in an average computer rating, which would be released Sunday, would travel to the winner of Tulane-Cincinnati for the AAC title game, the spokesperson said. The computer rating would be an average from the Anderson & Hester Rankings, the Billingsley Report, the Colley Matrix and the Wolfe ratings.
Got it. So to be clear the only CFP rankings that matter are this week’s and not the final regular season ones next week.
LuPoor , Please just take care of business for us. We messed up, calling in a favor after all the W's we gave you
At the risk of sounding like I have a loser mentality, I’d honestly be okay missing the AAC champ game so long as we beat USF. We aren’t championship material.
Deion should be at GT. I can't think of a city that fits him better, but at the same time it might be the worst school culture fit. Either way it would be amazing to watch.
Assuming the loser of TU/Cincy is disqualified in a 3 way tie. I imagine our computer ranking is huge than Houston, our wins are better and they have 4 losses. I know we keep going through the senarios, but UCF not being the runner up doesn't pass the smell test for me. If we beat USF I'm not worried.
The losing in your last week thing is so weird. What if that team was like top 10 somehow and loses by 3. I’m still really confused
CFP basically just made it so if we win we play. We will probably be ranked above the loser of Tulane/Cinci
the case for playing Cinci is that we are both headed to the Big 12 …with Tulane we may get Boxing scorecard level corruption from the AAC Refs in that matchup again but we did have a significant LOS advantage vs Tulane
regardless of weather, i don't feel confident against cincy based off last game. tulane i feel far more comfortable with.
I want Tulane because Gus is GOING to play JRP, and JRP can win against Tulane. I think we need Keene vs Cincy to win. Keene has 1 more game left to play and keep his RS. Ideal breakdown is, JRP vs USF, Keene Optional for CCG, JRP for the bowl game, Keene optional if he did not play in the CCG. Then good luck to Mikey wherever he goes. It would have been so easy for him to just enter the transfer portal. But he is like the Anti-DG, he knows we are getting rid of him and still trying to help the team as much as he can.
