there is a lot of stupid shit within these keystrokes, luckily Joystick Izzy summarily disposed of most of it. But the last line is the chefskiss. Given he already shut down an offense consisting of Baker Mayfield + CeeDee Lamb + Mark Andrews + Hollywood Brown + Trey Sermon + Rodney Anderson + 7 Active NFL OL.
Agreed. He's a top 2 or 3 HC at the moment. Just sucks he is constantly compared and has to go up against the best college coach of all time.
OMG HE’S THE GREATEST COACH THAT EVER LIVED AND IF YOU DON’T AGREE IT IS ONLY BECAUSE YOU’RE IRRATIONAL!!!
Low key biggest move of the game was moving Salyer over. Guess they finally felt comfortable moving Jones out there to LT
our OL next year should be filthy, again. And we havent even seen Amarius Mims or Tate Ratledge yet. But Matt Luke needs to be a bit better too imo.
Imagine if we had gotten a full season of a George Pickens. Dude is an animal to come back from ACL surgery that quick. And make the plays he made in the Orange Bowl and National Title. Hope he does well in the NFL. Not sure why Bama did not recruit him but thankful.
In general or last night? Because honestly I thought the run game issue last night was just playcalling. The OL was dominant in the trenches on the run game.
Last night was playcalling (some early stuff was players getting tackled too easily, and interior OL blown up). But Monken was infuriating when you could tell our OL was ready to maul a tired Bama front 7. But the season on the whole = interior OL was poor in traditional run concepts. See Georgia not obliterating Florida with the Counter like LSU did. Until the very end.
In general. There were a few games where the OL should've imposed their will but weren't getting a push against inferior DL.
In general. Last night we probably could've thrown like 3 passes the entire second half and still won. The OL was beasting in run blocking.
I think this pretty much completes our entire coaching staff being mentioned for other jobs. Everyone but Kirby so I'm sure NFL rumors are coming soon enough. I think he already turned down Auburn again, his alma mater. I haven't heard anything on Dell lately.
We have a few insiders (known idiots) saying norvell may be making a run, but that seems unlikely unless kirby told him to look elsewhere. Didn't know the dynamics of that relationship.
Nice having a steady dude there, with no ambition for promotion. I know he interviewed at some G5 spots. but its gotten stale. Not a big recruiting win since Kendall Milton. 2023 a big cycle at that position.
We were rbu before he got here. He's fine but I'd like to go get Thomas Brown. He's spent a few years with McVay.
It seemed very odd to me, but we had a few different folks bring it up. Probably just kicking shit up during a slow period
I know Bama has set the bar and Clemson has had an incredible decade, but I'm still really impressed by four NY6 bowl wins in 6 years. Shit in 15 years Richt only played in 3 Sugar Bowls, but we were stupid for moving on.
We've had an objectively great run. We've been a top 4 program since 2017. All we were missing was the natty.
feels like getting a National Title within your first 6 years of ever being a head coach is good I know Stoops did it in 2, but not an extensive list.
