ive done this no fewer than 3 times for the kliffers and have only been banned once. our mod team is soft
jesus even program mouthpiece buck is done with him if buck sanders is saying you need to go, you probably need to go
holy crap, some guy on ic started a thread with a bunch of tweets from former players, most of them aren't really newsworthy, but the fact that you've got Smith and Fieulleteau chiming in too is pretty telling Andre Smith: Whole lotta exposing going on on this fine Saturday. Matt Merletti: I’m ready for UNC to treat our football program with the same expectations they do every other sport. This is unacceptable. (Retweeted by Da’Norris Searcy) Zach Brown: Larry gotta go! (Reply to Merletti) Zach Brown: Smh unc we need new coaches n players ASAP.. not watching another game this season... when b-ball start?.. can’t stop nothing... take 11 sry ass out Dwight Hollier: (in reply to Z Brown) Don’t tap out yet bro. But it’s really really ugly. Jesse Holley: Larry Fedora Might Not Make It Outta The Football Season As Head Coach Of UNC Jordan Fieulleteau: ...coaches gotta go
was worried about houston bc he ran triple option at citadel but seems like he’s a spread guy now. i don’t care who we hire but better not be triple option guy. that’ll destroy any left fan interest
Satterfield is from Hillsborough so he's probably a UNC fan. I think both are incredible upgrades over Fedora, who would be yall's first choice?
I haven't followed any coach close enough to really have a favorite yet, Kiffin and Fleck are two other names that a bunch of people on IC have clamored for
I would fucking love Kiffin, but only if he goes back to being Tennessee Kiffin. I'm not sure who would hate him more our rivals or the UNC Holy Rollers
I just think he'd be a walking clusterfuck and the best we could hope for would be that he at least leaves more talent on the roster than Fedora will. Naturally though, if it ever happened I'd 100% be able to talk myself into him and would thoroughly enjoy his shots taken at our rivals.
Got to stay away from kiffin. The talent he recruits is always of the suspect variety and then you end up with like 65 scholarship players because they're all gonna get kicked out
Will Healy. Won FCS National Coach of the Year. Turned Austin Peay from one of the worst teams in the country in any division around into an 8-1 FCS record last year. I think that he ends up taking a smaller G5 job first but he's a stud.
Here is an article about what he is doing. They went 1-45 before he turned it around. He is outrecruiting FBS teams with no resources at all. Dude is a monster waiting to happen somewhere. https://www.cbssports.com/college-f...football-may-be-this-man-and-not-scott-frost/
There seem to be two main factions on our home board atm, one wanting the name recognition of a P5 guy, whether it's a head coach or coordinator, and the other wanting one of the local proven winners, just at a smaller level. So far I think I lean more towards option two, with Satterfield looking like the best of both worlds, but it's really hard to argue with what Houston's done at literally every stop. The way I see it, we're gonna recruit at a top 30 level regardless, and it'd be nice to see someone finally get the most out of the talent on hand, which hopefully leads to better recruiting. Of the two P5 names we've seen the most, give me Fleck over Kiffin all day. I'm just not a fan of hiring retreads who failed at places with the advantages that a USC provides. Yes I realize he was dealing with restrictions at the time, but his teams also routinely came out looking underprepared, and I've seen enough of that look with Larry. That said, he was still pretty young, he'll obviously make a splash recruiting, and his FAU run has been impressive so far, so I wouldn't completely dismiss him if we went that route. Now let's all hope we actually fire Larry in the first place.
I doubt he's looking per se, it's just one of the main names due to rumored interest following last year, which some think could've just been a ploy to push for facility upgrades at UM. Honestly literally everybody on the "list" right now is just fan speculation.
As someone who follows JMU very closely, Houston would be a homerun for you guys. He runs an excellent program and the culture he’s built in such a short time is pretty unreal. He’ll get everything out of the players and build a staff that can recruit and, more importantly, coach at a high level. He’s going to be a successful coach at the P5 level it’s just a matter of when/where. I’m enjoying the ride while we have him.
pinned thread on the contact details and jesus it is brutal to read broken down i want no part in bubba hiring roy's replacement
cole anthony ov scheduled 9/28 of the guys we're actively recruiting it seems green is the only one left to set a date (dont consider hurt or wiseman to be actual options)
