the cool thing about this game is each team forgets how to play basketball for 4 min stretches and they keep trading off who remembers
Day'Ron's spin move towards the baseline is so damn quick, sometimes loses the ball with how hard he pounds it on the dribble while making it, but almost always beats his man for position
Color me encouraged. Harris made a difference when he was in. Great passes and played good D. Caleb is getting better. Kerwin is proving to be the missing piece in terms of outside shooting.
another rousing display, hopefully these Caleb buckets the last two games are genuine signs of life for his stroke though
I like when they have little moments that make me think "oh yeah, so thats what Carolina basketball feels like" happened a couple times this season with some Kerwin quick trigger 3's and then just now on the hit ahead to Leaky
and then we have our inevitable foul the 3 point shooter brain fart and it brings me back down to reality
couple of nice finds on the move by Caleb in the last few minutes, definitely his best game so far knock on all of the wood
ahh geez and he was doing so well no matter, some definite flickering in this second half, good opponent on Saturday with State at home to potentially carry this momentum
Caleb still keeps having his Caleb moments but he at least seems to be in the flow of the game now rather than the zombie of a player we had been seeing buckets are always nice of course
this is the kind of energy and focus I was optimistic we'd see with it being State coming in, best half we've played all year
still, outside of those back to back hero ball possessions down the stretch, this was by far his best game, and for the first time since I don't even know it felt like I was watching UNC basketball promising
got curious and looked up Sev's numbers so far, and well, just damn... 3 ppg on 28% shooting 0% from 3, 1.9/2.3 a/to, 50% from the line really didn't think he'd take some big step forward, but was hoping with starter's minutes (which hasn't been the case) he could get in the 9 ppg range while taking care of the ball. honestly just feel bad for the kid at this point, did a youtube search sorting by newest and 90% of them are people still reacting to his mixtape as a 14 year old with scattered videos asking what happened to Seventh Woods.
we just run good offense against zones clean half from Caleb with some great decisions off of penetration
it’s not really national narrative but we have 100% figured out the cuse zone. most of them aren’t even close
