missed Greg saying this a couple days ago apparently, but he's not expecting any more staff changes unless someone leaves Rice better be worth it
and Mack's confirmed no changes to the offensive staff I really don't get it, he cited the offense's production as whole but all of that is in spite of the OL
man I felt certain that a lineup featuring Leaky/Mckoy with no Bacot/Love was going to invite Tech right back into this, nice to be wrong
credit goes to this squad for seemingly having the knack for hitting tough shots, but the lack of even one consistent penetrator is a pretty massive elephant in the room, luckily he looks to be chilling so far tonight
good work fellas, at Miami next against the kind of guards who've typically given us the most problems, should be a good measuring stick
Good to see the boys putting some teams away. Seems Roy's last couple of teams rarely just curb stomped anyone; even the early season games were closer than necessary.
well we've seen this before, could tell from the get go what kind of game they were coming out with time to see if they've actually grown at all
this is why not having any capable penetrators is such a massive weight holding this team down, against athletic guards playing pressure defense, Caleb becomes uncomfortable to the point that he struggles to create much of anything and RJ simply isn't athletic enough to beat his man thus our offense becomes trash, and everything else starts to unravel from there
hubert is in so far over his head it isn’t funny. he better pray he lands gg or this will unravel quick
not to mention Dunn looks like someone actually capable of hitting the lane, let him develop that by fire, give Caleb/RJ some minutes to gather themselves on the bench
broken record but it’s absolutely inexcusable that we turned the premier job in college athletics over to a grossly unqualified candidate because he got a degree from unc and the players enjoyed bible study with him the old boosters deserve the wilderness they’re about to see their precious basketball program wander through. the rest of us sure don’t
The last two years sucked but I always felt like we'd be back to playing at a high level relatively quickly, think the realization of what we are now is starting to truly set in, unless Hubert pulls some miracles from the portal I don't see how the issues plaguing this roster improve until the '23 class at the earliest maybe a freshman Trimble surprises me but much like his brother he doesn't appear to be particularly quick with the ball
he strikes me as a better rj which (while good) is not enough to really change things gg may be the most important recruit since idk. tony? marcus? harrison? can’t miss that one
that 2019 acc tourney back and forth with zion and rj seems like a million years ago crazy how fast it all happened
maybe ever honestly, at least since I've started paying attention, it's a dangerous time to be irrelevant on the national stage (3 years running) with the way kids are flocking away from this conference now, longer we stay down the tougher it's gonna be
pleasantly surprised to see the general consensus on ic is how over his head hubert is hire should have been wes if we insisted on making this a nepotism hire. it should be 1 and done before things really spiral
and I do want to give him the benefit of the doubt because I genuinely believe he's handicapped by this roster, but he does himself absolutely no favors with his bewildering game management
last night made kentucky look like a 2 point loss yeah yeah yeah it’s just his first year but he’s already thrown together two of the worst and more embarrassing losses in the last quarter century of carolina basketball fast path to indiana status if this experiment lasts more than a year or two
Wanted Wes or Nate Oats, Hubert better get this team turned or turning into Indiana post Knight is a real possibility.
also I haven't seen this talked about much but we match up horribly with Duke, if we think things are ugly now...
