That would be just like the Trump Administration to announce a travel ban and then just let everyone in anyways
There are a bunch of exceptions, but in any case, the US only has orders in place limiting travel from China, Iran, the Schengen Area, UK, Ireland, and Brazil, plus mutual agreements with Canada and Mexico, so a Liberian family would not be impacted. Travel by U.S. citizens returning to the United States has never been barred.
Ban people from coming into the country during normal times. Everyone gets in during a global pandemic. It’s almost like he’s going to say “see, we tried letting everyone in and it caused a pandemic.”
That’s just it, we were coming from not only a Schengen country but one that has been put on the “red” list by most EU countries. I came from Barcelona which is not good at the moment also. Where the others came from I have no clue but 99% did not appear to be Americans and no disrespect intended!
I don’t care about the fare difference. When switching even on Southwest, if you switch flights last minute the new fare normally was more money. Last minute flights are always overpriced. The problem was I would be willing to pay the higher fare; but AA wanted to charge me another $200 simply for the opportunity to pay the higher fare. Also sucked when you had to cancel a flight. Sure they give you a credit for the fare, minus the $200 change fee. So if you paid less than $200 it was a credit of $0. So much bullshit.
I get all that. This just isn’t the great thing people think it is. I just priced a united trip and there was a $200 fare for economy low and the next was $840.
I’ve been seeing good prices sans Delta since they’re still running no middle seats and limited routes
Prob posted in this thread at some point about this but yeah I saw some dude in shorts and penny loafers just take his shoes off mid flight. Rub his feet into the carpet and walk down the aisle barefoot to talk to friends. Wanted to puke.
and they frontload roundtrip fares on the first leg, so if you want to change the return, they'd say "ok fine but the return fare was only $40 so you owe us $200 plus the new fare, which is magically not $50, but $250.
I might would have ended up in a fight with an anti-masker at work a few weeks ago if his wife hadn’t been there to calm him down. Guy went from 0 to 100% psycho as soon as he saw me pulling the mask out of the box to hand to him.
Shawn, I’ve determined you need to move at least 1000 miles in some combination of north and west of where you currently reside. You need a fresh start.
It’s been the rule for almost a year. They knew. They had plenty of time to work with their child or make other arrangements.
Just going to say that my hippo is skeptical at this story. Wouldn’t put it past United by any means, but I’m guessing there may be more to the story.
Local news comments got pretty heated today. One guy with a cowboy hat as his profile was bitching that he couldn't take his pet on the plane. Checked out his profile and very pro anti mask, made for a fun back and forth.
Access to their onboard or lounge catering storage is what I mean. Possibly restaurant or shop storage depending on what access the badge had. It’s also possible that there have been employee meals provided during the pandemic. I’ve heard a lot of that in general for workers who have public facing jobs.
