Had to fly southwest for the first time in a while and I can’t believe this is considered anything above one of the budget airlines like spirit or allegiant. Trying to navigate the queue and figure out where to stand at 5:30 am while getting groped by the people behind you like you’re at a concert

 

But they do funny announcements!!!!!

I guess the only reason they are "better" is b/c they are somewhat on time and don't scam you with baggage fees? I think it's 4 tiers.

1. Delta - Everyone in suits
2. American/United - Suits still, but they've literally said they don't give a fuck about customer satisfaction
3. Southwest - Shitty, cheap, but reliable. Most people in sweatpants, some nicer dressed folks in athleisure
4. Spirit/Frontier/Allegiant/etc - 100% shorts or sweatpants

What do you call someone who has A3 with Southwest but stands 5 feet in front of where you are supposed to so the really cool guy with A1 didn't get to experience the thrill of being first. I WANTED TO BE FIRST!

 

Probably the same thing as the guy with A23 who sees your A24 boarding number and has to elbow past you.

 

Same difference. As a former gate agent, the spray tan, lots of mousse, blazer and jeans, first class midlife crisis having dudes that stand in line before I told them were the worst. They know better and make the choice to suck.

 

Did you star in any episodes of Airline? I don’t remember that being the title of the reality series about Southwest, but damn did I enjoy watching that show.

Calling SW reliable is quite a stretch in recent years.

They have been great because of the no change fees, pretty decent FF program (easy to rack up points) and free baggage compared to the others.

But now the others are starting to do some of that stuff too, so the advantages of flying SW are quickly fading.

 

I honestly assumed they were still reliable. I know they used to be "most reliable" and even if it slipped I assumed they were better than Spirit/Frontier

 

I just consider Southwest to be a sky bus. Did I get to my destination for cheap? Satisfied.

 

I hate people who try to board before their group is called so much that I get bad anxiety boarding myself in case I misheard/there’s a technical error and I appear like one of them.

 

If I'm A20-30 I'll stand all the way at the back of that line. Really any number I stand behind where I should to avoid talking to/being near people.

making someone get on their hands and knees when someone else could just use a vacuum is ridiculous and spiteful so unless Bass' wife did something else to deserve that kind of treatment, it's ridiculous.

if I'm at a restaurant and my kid makes a mess I don't get on the ground and pick it up. I apologize and leave a big tip and they get a broom or vacuum and clean it up in 30 seconds.

 

I wasn’t there. All I can see is a MLB player who projects his Christianity being pretty selfish and tone deaf on Twitter regarding the airline cleaning crew.

 

I'm not defender of Christians, but I think you're reaching with this one.

I do think people who run to complain about some injustice on twitter are generally terrible though.

 

One...pick up after your kid. I clean up after mine if he destroys a space.

Second...she's pregnant so might be touch to manage cleaning it up.

Third....I'm guessing there is more to this story.
