Was the $5 monopoly money or was it real money and you're just so rich that 5 bucks in nothing to you?
Welp. It was nice for 2 weeks to make believe this team was good. And yea... these calls aren't making this easier to stomach, but hey... refs are fags
thought the game just turned around when they didn't take a time out at the end of the half. we weren't going for it there. just an indefensibly stupid decision
Man betting money on this game would have been sooooo dumb if you took Illinois. Just imagine how stupid the guy is that thought they might come out and win outright after the 2-0 start.
I think we are just good enough to make a bowl game but not good enough the AD gets tricked into keeping Cubit
Hello Illini brethren, myself and a couple other guys are making the trip up to the game this weekend. Any recommendations on good places to drink and eat would be appreciated. Also, where are the best places for visitors to tailgate? Any good craft beer stores in the area? Staying at the Homewood Suites on S Neil St, so things within walking distance if possible would be just lovely Thank you very much PS - Please don't pass for 500 yards on us.
You really aren't near the main campus/bar area, its about a 1.5 mile walk which isn't bad. There's a Hooters right by there if you don't want to stray far from your hotel after the game but want to go somewhere to watch the late games.
There aren't many good restaurants in Champaign. I would probably recommend the deep dish pizza at Papa Del's. Best place to drink off campus for someone who is too old to drink with college kids is Blind Pig. On campus, Murphy's. If you want to drink with 21 year olds, Brothers. If you want to drink with 18 year olds, Kam's.
You seriously wanted Sneed? We have 2 scholarships left for 2016, one of those probably belonging to a 5th year transfer, so basically one scholarship. Taking a 3 star PG when we're desperate is one thing, but taking a 3 star SF when we don't have a pressing need is another. I'm not optimistic about our chances with any particular recruit at the moment, but I'd rather wait-and-see than take a guy like Sneed.
I don't follow college recruiting anymore but just saw Robert tweet he almost went to the kid's high school for the announcement like he did with that Louisville kid. Figure it was a big recruit so I donno.
Horrible playcall. We've been running that exact same play on 4th and short for 2 years. Everyone should know how to stop it.
