they, the mods at least, generally show a ton of restraint with this kind of stuff, solid group overall imo
UNC Rivals Site Monday night football recruiting piece. If the formatting sucks, well sorry. Nothing earth shattering, but my hopefulness with Dax has diminished, as it probably should.
Does seem to be a case where it's mostly just unc people who think we're good for Dax, which generally doesn't end well for us. Just one more day to go at least.
if you ask ic they'll tell you he is gonna reclassify to play for duke in the tourney this year i think we have a very good chance and i just don't buy the duke talk with how crowded they are going to be with a bunch of ball dominant wings. no idea for sure but we're definitely in the thick of it
https://scout.com/college/north-car...n-About-Playing-in-Carmichael-Arena-114723254 hope this continues to gain momentum. in a perfect world we would play state or wake in a home game there every year but they arent turning down the gate receipts for a conference game at the dome. even if it was just unc-g or something, i would be in favor of it
I’ve wanted the big 4 to re establish the Dixie classic for so long. Agree to not do other Big early season tournaments, invite 4 other prominent programs to play the 4 ACC schools, and rotate the title game between them or play it in Charlotte or Greensboro. It would be so sick and instantly the best tournament going.
team dixie classic team for this year you could do something like: unc duke state wake michigan st kentucky gonzaga florida rotate the games yearly between charlotte, raleigh and greensboro. god it would be amazing
It would obviously be dependent on other big programs being willing to participate, and someone would want to change the name, but it would sell out in a heartbeat.
i know the money wouldnt allow it but for years it would be in charlotte, it would be cool to have the first round games at bojangles. i just like the idea of big teams playing in small, old arenas. raleigh years can be in reynolds and greensboro years could be carmichael
I can't see getting a bunch of big name schools to come to tobacco road for an early season tournament where they could potentially pick up a handful of losses in a short period. Most of the bigger tournaments are, on the surface, neutral site with a couple of patsies thrown in. Love the idea though.
Yea, I think one option would be to make it a one game thing as opposed to an actual tournament. The Champions Classic doesn't seem to have any issue getting top teams despite a loss being probable, but if it was a 3 game tournament and you risked playing 3 top 25 teams, that might change things. I think it's worth exploring but I'm not an AD unfortunately.
do an ounce of research for yourself before you just start asking absolutely retarded questions yet again
mac really is a more robotic dbl, anyway, he's digging in over pointless semantics as more people chime in with "what they've heard" regarding Dax, which more or less amounts to it's not us
Don't know, just not us, the latest was that he's still torn between you and VT, but in my absolutely uneducated opinion, I think it'll be Clemson watch it end up being that nobody knows shit and he pops for UNC though WATCH IT
plus maybe Gavin Lewis, looks to be a run of the mill DT down to us and UCLA the good ol "surprise recruit" rumors are trickling in per usual too
dax stuff was disappointing but give me green + montilus/barnes + lewis and it is a damn fine close to this class i loathe the man but the way larry finished after losing shough and wilson + a 3-9 season was very damn impressive
#2 class in the coastal which since the coastal is the best division in football means we actually have the #2 class in the country
I like the class a lot too. If I'm being picky, I'd like to start getting more defensive studs but we did real well at oline and receiver.
Seems to be the gist of how most people feel, impressive and promising class given the season we just had, I think it's also a good sign for post ncaa mess recruiting, but the defensive side of things still leaves a bit to be desired
Luckily though, unless the offense completely shits the bed again, I think we'll be pretty stout on D next year, especially on the front line. Hopefully some solid play and Thing being back in the fold can snag us a game changer or two for '19.
Sports viewership is a fun, wholesome activity and a pleasant diversion. Good to see Seventh back. Maybe I'm all optimistic-giddy because W, but I really think he's going to help spell Joel nicely after he knocks the rust off. Theo was the ultimate warrior on defense.
hhhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggg <-- me jizzing, all over the place feels so good to win the first match up again outside of the Kenny steal to Theo dunk at the end, Seventh's block of that oop attempt at the end of the 1st half made me lose my shit more than anything
