This is the thread where we talk about how good the two best baseball players in the world Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani and don’t make the playoffs.
FS West is replaying the Ohtani press conference. I’m drunk and I can’t hear anything and it’s probably amazing.
Holiday party tonight. Also somewhat over served. Was not the drunkest guy at the party...that guy got sent home at 9ish.
hello i look forward to celebrating the mlb’s first 20 win 20 homer player in 9 months or mourning his tommy john within 6 months either way i’m pumped
also i’d like to make a proposal to all world moderator GoodForAnother let us have the far superior california angels logo instead of this nonsense
minus the one mistake that was a great outing threw a ton of strikes and the breaking ball looked good the second and third time thru the order i’m officially excited
After years of that being a strong point, definitely have had a carousel of poor relievers the last couple seasons
the breaking stuff wasn’t sharp the first time thru the order, but still good enough to get swings and misses he got away with it until olson crushed one he settled in well after that though
desperately need heaney to be good ramirez and whoever the hell they have in mind for this 6 man rotation is a big concern
I’m a meh baseball fan but just a few games in and I’m a huge follower all of the sudden. Will be tuning in.
Annoyed Shohei Ohtani Had Hoped U.S. Baseball Players Wouldn’t Be This Bad Yesterday 3:07pm SEE MORE: Vol 54 Issue 15 ANAHEIM, CA—Frustrated with the level of play he has encountered during his first week of competition in the American major leagues, Japanese baseball phenom Shohei Ohtani told reporters Monday that he’d hoped American players wouldn’t be this bad. “When I decided to leave Japan to sign with the [Los Angeles] Angels, I thought I’d have to push myself to compete at the next level, but this has all been way too easy,” said the 23-year-old after a dominant performance on the mound and the batter’s box, adding that his new peers were hardly a step up from the lowly Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. “At first, I thought the guys were just messing with me, but when I homered three times in three days and took a perfect game into the seventh inning the day after that, well...Turns out I’m just better than everyone else. This honestly wasn’t even worth the money.” Reporters confirmed Ohtani seemed bored and listless throughout the interview, answering questions while tossing 94 mile-per-hour warm-up pitches in the bullpen with his off hand.
Yep. Great start but the starters need to eat up some innings or our pen will be dead late in the year.
Yeah that was a stupid post. He's pretty good, but he's going to have to do it a bit longer than two weeks.
the pen will have to be addressed via trade all of them have the same issues (throwing fucking strikes) seems like they’re hoping middleton is the guy at the end but he’s basically fernando rodney with a different stupid look on his head
before middleton finds a way to sweat this one out/ flat out blow it just wanna say that was a fucking great start by skaggs much needed after the drilling’s they took last week
