I have long said that Brett McMurphy is one of the finest investigative journalists of this, or any, generation.
Ok fine it’s all water under the bridge We’ll take you back urban!!! Spoiler On double secret probation
Can’t believe this piece of this only got us on National Title and is leaving our cupboards so bare...
Despite getting assfucked but his teams basically yearly, he's obviously raised the bar in the B1G. But, yikes.
McMurphy has only scratched the surface of the story. I know over 85 people who, in the last six years, have been abused by Urban Meyer's underlings.
I would think so if an employee of the university was accused of abuse and two other employees knew about it didn't do shit.
I like that Urban basically dismissed McMurphy’s report last week at media days and said there was nothing to it. McMurphy clearly was butt hurt about that and decided to dig further.
Does the NCAA have any play in this? I would think because the events happened off campus (unlike PSU) they wouldn't have much they could do unless they discover it's a lot bigger than just Meyer covering for his guy. Also McMurphy will be on xm 84 in like 5 minutes.
Nobody actually believes she didn't tell Urban or that Urban didn't know. Will that actually do anything at all? Especially considering the entire point behind the problem is a woman taking a hit to preserve her husband's career and to protect the brand.
Now Michigan State has a chip on their shoulder about not being the B1G team with the most recent scandal. Every year Mark Dantonio finds his edge.
Pj fleck strikes me as more of a steal used underwear from women and children than actually beating them.
He seemed to make a relationship with Smith's ex from the beginning...and I think he's unemployed. He was definitely going to keep working on it.
McMurphy responded to his comments at media days when Urban said there was “nothing to it”. He definitely was butthurt about that. From listening to some of the National pods and such, seemed like a dumb thing to say at the time in such absolute terms. Now it seems even worse to say.
The NCAA will do whatever it wants. It “can’t” do anything unless the institution cooperates. The reason they were involved in the Penn State thing wasn’t because it was on campus, it was because Penn State was so culpable in such a horrible thing that it couldn’t tell them to fuck off.
