Anyone seen wearing that in public should be free game to be clubbed to death.
People being "fans" of politicians, judges, and political operatives is insane. They should make sacrifices for you.
Clinton would've probably won the election if she didn't go around collecting 100k a speech to Wall Street firms after stepping down as Secretary of State.
But the whole DNC bent backwards to defend that shit and everything the Clintons did. Because why?
I disagree with this fundamentally— not the logic but the notion that social media users should get the benefit of the audience without the cost ie engagement. But I don’t care to litigate it tbh.
Liberals trying to dunk on religious beliefs will never not backfire btw
It's because they don't understand religion, you don't tell them they're wrong, you tell them something crazier that fits your agenda
But that's immoral
Welcome to religion leadership 101
Us UW grads bring this up all the time
It’s* just a really unsympathizable and wretched line of critique
create a hellworld and then make fun of people for believing in a different one ps vote for me it’s moral
They're mobilizing the PR campaign for her already. Some Stanford law professor was on NPR earlier talking about what a nice person she is literally seconds after saying he didn't know her personally. He said some other stuff about his opinion of her as a professional, which may as well be Chinese to me, but that first part killed me
the degree of class solidarity among the law cohort is impressive
Big Law is an essential part of the neoliberal apparatus
Example: Me age 10 making fun of my (mean) Catholic Grandmother for having hundreds angel figurines in her house to my neighbor friend who came from a hardcore Southern Baptist family.
Next week, his little sister (7) has told my little sister (6) that she is going to Hell because she has that papist blood.
"She authored 100 opinions in 3 years on the appeals court, which is impressive." ... was another one
Like regular people are supposed to know what the fuck that means
translation: she did the work that was assigned to her
religious bigotry is low t
If you’re a circuit judge writing a ton of concurring or dissenting opinions, you’re almost certainly an asshole
reminder part two that discussing her as a candidate misses the boat and is a big fat loser of a strategy
Completely agree with this, it's more annoying when media figures do this because they get ratioed constantly for bad takes.
chuckmasterflex just to be clear not amazing that your sister got bullied for her pre conscious religious affiliation but amazing the clarity of the example
class politics are fine for literally everyone but the working class
work in perfect class sync
My sister cried her eyes out when she was told that cause she was 6. And the little bitch who told her still came over, and even brought her big sister over to try on my sister's clothes.
But my sister never took shit off anyone since for being an atheist. She punched a guy in the face for grabbing her ass in under her seat 7th grade in front of the teacher.
Overall, a great thing to happen to her.
Childhood is brutal. And like Saint Warren of House Zevon said, “Life’ll kill ya .”
healthy country right there
I tend to agree with Ezra Klein's take on the Supreme Court.
We need to have this fight about the Court, and Democrats need to decide if they want to govern the country or be sent to gulags.
1. “Religious bigotry is low T”
2. The very religious are the biggest religious bigots
3. You are therefore calling the very religious low t
4. That makes you a religious bigot
5. You are therefore, by your own reasoning, low t
everyone but me is low t
damn. dead on
There'd be 2 or 3 Rs on every Sunday show asking why the Ds have no common decency ^
As there should be. It's disgusting
Criticizing liberals for being harsh on religion when all democratic leaders are super religious and Donald trump is the Republican president seems weird.
Seems spot on to me
the punditry and general media class of liberal commentary is notoriously snide about religion and it doesn’t help
George Conway, come on down!
right wing media apparatus spends the last week trying to get everyone talking about Barrets religion
within 24 hours of being formally announced trumps tweeting about the supreme court throwing out the ACA and senators are saying it's going to happen on tv
For some reason I can't hear the video; I assume it's people yelling at her or something?
edit: nm, got the audio from a different site. Rubio being more than a little dramatic with that tweet.
its just a video of them
Ive yet to find evidence that anyone actually gives a shit about what George Conway has to say (most of all his wife and daughter)
This tweet makes no sense. Conway has always been a federalist society stooge and nobody has ever made a secret of that. “Never Trump” isn’t a strict set of policy ideals. It’s a cluster of Republicans that have decided they can’t vote for Trump for any number of reasons. Trump’s Supreme Court picks were not the driving force behind that choice for the overwhelming majority of them. They’re not Democrats and haven’t ever claimed to be.
Who are you defining as the punditry and general media class of liberal commentary?
everyone from news anchors to blue checks
He meant blue Chex
That and it was several months after Kavanaugh was confirmed before he wrote the op-ed about Whittaker’s appointment as AG which was his first “never trump” move.
