I just don't understand why these Athletic Directors continually give guaranteed contracts to coaches with little to no leverage.
Athletic directors are almost always ex-jocks. Let’s just say they aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed.
Paul Hackett edit: Graham Harrell and Jedd Fisch are names I’ve seen. Situation uncertain but not dire
there's really no point in following the team until Swann is fired but I appreciate your sacrifice Fidelio
I’m not even upset anymore. At some point you just accept this sport is cyclical. We had our run and were lucky enough to snag a classic Rose that we prob didn’t deserve. We’ll be good again someday...

(dusts off thread) Excited for the new campaign, gents? I'm taking it one week at a time, enjoying each win. Better days ahead.
Can you send me the polo loco recipe again. Oh and fuck sc but I hope that doesn’t stop you from sending me the recipe.
Daniels tearing his ACL is a season killer imo. Hate to see that happen to anyone but Daniels is a good kid I’m told. He went to the elementary school where my wife used to teach.
It looks like this but I think MODEVIL was speculating, I don’t think it’s even possible to know right now.
I got ya but this is not Willis mcgahee level at all. I would say it looks pretty bad for him though, pretty shitty. He is a good qb Let’s hope it’s mild
That was an ACL. I can’t imagine any other injury the way it all went down. He couldn’t put any weight on that leg. If I’m wrong, I’ll own it.
No need buddy, we are just talking here. I am not calling you out on anything, you are probably right. Sucks for the kid though
2007... It’s incredible, and they are not even putting a lot of players in the nfl on defense nowadays. Cali soft I guess
1st play of the game we had a 50 yard kickoff returned nullified because we had two players on the field wearing the same number 7. I thought to myself.. "Oh boy, that's not the sign of a prepared team." Right before halftime our QB, who has objectively played impressively, rips his knee up and I thought "Oh boy, that's not ideal." But here I sit, 6 minutes left, up 8 and thinking we might still win the whole damn thing! Call me optimistic, in denial, or plain drunk... we still have a chance. Hope springs eternal.
I'm three sheets, brother. And I know we're screwed after losing JT. But tonight we fuck like winners, hope the wife is game. (Who am I kidding? It's damn near 11:30 and the last time I was up this late we we're celebrating New Years)
Not that I think we are good or anything but man my frustration for a while, including Carroll's last couple of seasons, is that it seems like we are literally fielding the exact same team every season. Same plays, same penalties, same stalled offense and same everything. Before I get the it's only the first game of the season, please tell what excites you about this team. 8-4 would be pure luck. Depending on how the conference plays out this is either a 5-7 or 7-5 season.
I don't see how any Pac 12 fan could really get hyped for the season with the state the conference is in. College football is college football so I'm not saying to not watch or root for your teams but we are all at the kids table right now unfortunately
honestly the sec east had as much as a shocker as either division in the pac12 but nobody is talking about that
because people only care about the top teams in a conference, if you have a school that can reasonably hold their own in the playoff then it feels like you belong
I’m a fan of the sport and have kinda dropped all my pac 12 pride stuff. I used to think there was an east coast bias but the defensive lines are so much better in the SEC and the offenses aren’t as innovative and they used to be. It’s not fair for the conference to be judged on the whole based up Oregon or Washington vs Auburn but the conference needs to win a few of those games.
When sc is bad the pac 12 is pretty much an afterthought. There is a bunch of top 8 to 20 teams that are fun to watch but not a threat to win anything of consequence. Sc is the only team that can really put a team on the field that can challenge the elite teams. I think Oregon’s run might be over. Stanford is slowly fading too
