Yes. There's no benefit to sinking the brand even more with an unqualified loser of a HC. Who's to say a new coach would have a short leash? It's a totally different AD doing a hiring this time, it's not like Swann had anything do with the Helton hiring. This would be his guy.
not to mention there are probably at least 25 better options than Helton. You could get rejected by your top 5 choices and still come out better than keeping that loser.

It's ok, you guys honestly don't even need to block. THere's someone wide open on every play against a Todd Graham defense. Every. Single. play.
He's changed the program, done a good job on the overall. Talent level is really improved, especially in the underclass. But his personality is starting to wear thin, with the used car salesman tactics and hyperbole(which our AD told him to tone down). But it's his defense that is killing him. Can't let go of his scheme that has just been plain figured out. Breakdowns and a lack of talent in the secondary means he needs to seriously self evaluate. Doesn't have the DB's to play this scheme and it isn't a sound scheme to begin with(too much focus on creating negative plays for the offense, but the pressure isn't getting home often enough and it's predictable)
