Hugh Freeze “at total peace.” But “there’s always that itch”
So he’s on heroin basically
Anybody riding the Monken roller coaster today
Following this implies you believe something good can come of it and buddy I just can’t believe you’d do that.

Hearing now from two different legit coaching sources he's legit in the mix.
I know I said my job was to tell you how the different coaches would work out, but I can't see how this is going to work out. He's a heck of a coach but not even close to a fit.
I am told there is one key part of the search that is pushing hard for this, even to the point of digging in.
In my opinion this type of hire will dig a hole for Carolina. I am not sure how you can recruit. Even if he doesn't run a triple option, he will get blitzed on the recruiting trail.
If you told me one guy mentioned would be the wrong fit, it would be him. This is not a service academy and one only needs to point to Georgia Tech to see how this could negatively impact the program.
If you are going the service academy route, go hire Troy Calhoun, who is much more multiple on offense. If you want the triple option to be part of it, hire Jamey Chadwell who is more modern.
This needs to be a Greg Schiano to UT (which made a lot more sense than this) type of response from anyone who cares about Carolina football.
I would not put this out if it were not legit. BTW, I just got off the phone with my second contact that has told me this in the last 72 hours- as good as it can get with this type of info- I talked about this on the podcast briefly today BEFORE I got this intel, so if you listen disregard what I say.
Well, that was fast.
I am told that the right folks have expressed doubts about the hire and multiple contacts tell me that while Army head coach Jeff Monken is going to probably get an interview (they will likely interview 5-7 officially), do not expect him to end up with the gig.
I have been digging into this all day. I am not sure who all reads the site, but the right people have made it clear that this isn't the right decision.
I can't rule out you guys never hearing his name again (especially from the national media folks if these interviews leak), but you can rest a little easier.
I also was told there was legit interest from and in Clemson offensive coordinator Tony Elliott (a different source). I can't see him getting the job or being offered the job, but I can see him getting an interview, so prepare if that happens.
The fact that he was ever seriously mentioned is a testament to how dumb some of these people at the top are.
Well I really didn’t need any further testament that Caslen is a dumb ass.
Luke fickell would be a good hire
Hated the way he was forced on us and at least I have another reason to dislike him now.
someone on the big spur posted how Shane Beamer was similar to Brian Polian and it is quite similar. of course JC almost immediately pissed on that notion haha
Y'all think he pushed his wife down the stairs or nah?
Shane Beamer gaining momentum in South Carolina coaching search
Las Vegas Raiders assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia, a South Carolina assistant from 1988-93 and a former collegiate assistant at Wayne State, Clemson and Ole Miss, is very interested in the job and hoping to get an interview for the position. Bisaccia, 60, has been an assistant head coach for the Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the past 18 years. Bisaccia comes with strong recommendations from Raiders head coach Jon Gruden and former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. Bisaccia also was interested in the job five years ago when Muschamp was hired but didn’t receive an interview.
Rich Bisaccia angles for the job every time it’s open and they never interview him
all aboard the Shane Train!! #shanetrain #beamteam
We are basically getting gruden
I'm behind so sorry if already asked. Is this the guy you think will connect w today's player?
yes, i would love to have jerry reed as HBC
Probably brought up since I'm so far behind, but
Feldman has his favorites and when a job comes open they want, he will shove it down your throat.
He did inspect the bars himself Halloween night...
I got a bar he can inspect
Too small of a sample size
That’s p sick hoodie on Musch
Lol this made me laugh.
hopefully being a lego head lookn’ ass isn’t a comorbidity
the muschamp era did have nice outerwear. ive been searching unsuccessfully for this jacket:
said a few weeks ago that improving the uniform/gear aesthetic may be his best legacy
FYI if you can’t find the unde armour jacket...peter millar made a similar one. black with the Carolina script
I’ll be eternally grateful to Muschamp for giving me just one more day of these:
Go as fast as you can SC so we aren’t stuck with him!
Fuck this team.
that seems like a very cheap deal
I have no idea of Freeze is a realistic option or not but even taking him out of the equation, Beamer would still be way down the list. Im not sure what kind of staff he would be able to put together.
The best staff. Its still pretty fluid, but I've heard its some surprising names!
Trying the Arkansas approach might not be a bad idea. Hire a cheaper HC who can recruit and surround him with expensive veteran coordinators.
idk.. can’t shake the brad scott feel. at least he brought success as a coordinator to the table. not sure what Beamer can point to. players that got us over the capital one bowl hump like him?
You mean the players that came for Spurrier and not because of Beamer like the mouth breathers want you to believe? Those players?! Give him a contract Ray!!!!!
I’d kill for a capital one bowl victory right now.
thought Brad was gonna kill it for you guys after his 1st year......guy is the best GM in college ball though
