That was a pretty cool exchange bw Costello and his play caller. Costello could see his was gonna get all out blitz in an empty formation (4th & 12, that’s not a smart formation to be in) so during the TO he asked his play caller if he could shift his back from the slot to the backfield to protect. Costelllo was right, he could have had better protection to throw the ball more accurately because the DB did ultimately bite on the double move (“nod”)

I’m not sure packed is the right word but it’s an impressive crowd for a USFL game. But Memphis is a good market for the league IMO. Not much else to compete with aside from the Grizzlies and UM.
I haven't watched much of the USFL but it seems like the crowds are absolute shit compared to the XFL.
I haven't either but they only have four teams playing actual home games. There were a ton of people at the first Showboats game in Memphis. It's really off-putting. Reminds me of Covid games.
Im not sure how they don't have all the teams playing true home games this year. The XFL had less time to figure it out and did it in its first year.
I think it's a cost-cutting measure. Spring football doesn't really do anything for me but in the little I've consumed it feels like if one of them is going to continue to survive it'll be the XFL.

Also, it looked like NO spiked the ball before they went to review. And then going back to review to properly spot the ball.
