People on twitter associated with the Crew are saying they’ll announce it Tuesday but Twellman doesn’t tweet unless he’s heard it first hand.

I think he needs a big, planned PC soon, after the shit show that was the search/how lifeless the team and support for it has become over the last 2 years. Talk about his plan, how he wants to play, etc. to try to inject some excitement back into the team.
Would imagine he'll be with the 2's a while at the beginning, but he's not like most 19 year old US players who haven't played much outside of youth matches, so that might not be a bad thing for him at all.
not great, bob https://www.si.com/soccer/2018/12/02/gregg-berhalter-usmnt-manager-us-soccer-earnie-stewart-jay
That’s obviously the key. Berhalter loves a ball circulating #6, and Trapp is good at that for MLS, but probably not for the faster pace int’l level. Adams and McKennie are not really that type but would certainly be ideal 8’s. If we get Adams and McKennie as a CM duo, I’d expect a lot of pressing from the team. Durkin eventually would be Berhalter’s prototype #6, but he’s still 18 and only played 1,500 MLS minutes. I don’t think it’ll be until the March Friendlies where we get a better feel of Berhalter’s tactics.
"We need to change the tempo of the game instead of playing at such a high rhythm all the time..." Um what national team has he been watching?
So, basically, it sounds like...no, we don't. I know very little technically, so I'm not the best to judge, but the USMNT has never struck me as a team that can really control the ball and play from the back.
I'm not under any delusions that we're going to be able to play a ball control, tiki taka style game against the top half of the UEFA or CONMEBOL teams, but I would like to see a slower, possession based game be our bread and butter against mediocre CONCACAF opponents. Bunker/Counter soccer is fine when the other team has way better players than you. Doing it against Honduras/Panama/Costa rica because you're on the road and it's basically your default style made me want to gouge my eyes out.
Yes, there’s a smart way to go about that. You can absolutely change the tempo like Berhalter said with a high press or a MF press. Under Sarachan, that’s easily the worst tactics out of Bradley, JK, and Arena. It’s almost impossible to describe what the tactics were.
Will be interesting to see if the new loan rules going in place starting with the 20/21 season impact Steffen’s potential move to City. And will certainly have an impact on Miazga and Palmer-Brown.
This is dumb considering Qatar and most of the Russia sites are in the same time zone. But I guess since it’s an Asia hosted event, they want the Far East to get decent kickoff times.
Sure everything might already be a dumpster fire but never underestimate USSF's ability to surprise. They're being sued by the US Soccer Foundation, their partner for the last 25 years -one which has invested $125M in youth development, largely in poor areas, to help make the game more accessible to kids- after USSF inexplicably decided to end the relationship and told them they needed to stop using that name & logo. The reason they're severing ties and asking for the name and imaging? Money.
