One of Gio or Pulisic need to kind of adjust the way they play for us to maximize this team’s potential offensively imo. They both kind of want to receive the ball short and run at defenses. I think one of the reasons we looked so much better offensively against Costa Rica than Honduras and Mexico in the run of play was Aaronson’s forward runs to open up space even when he didn’t receive the ball.
Other thoughts: -I can’t overstate Adams’ importance at the six. Cannon made a great move and finish of course but his goal was almost a direct result of Adams’ high pressure way up the field, forcing a bad pass. Marsch would’ve been proud of that one. -Musah is going to be a depth luxury I can’t ever remember the US having in the midfield. -Dike made a great run on his goal but his hold up was very good all game as well. Really excited to see where he plays next season. -I think I feel more confident with Horvath in net than Steffen atm
Thoughts on Adams’ premier league interest? On one hand it’s awesome that some good teams are after him but him back in Marsch’s system with a champions league schedule seems like a dream scenario for him.

That’s a good point, you would never mind the experience of healthy starter minutes at a mid-table prem team, but you probably want a good healthy year before having him introduced to that kind of physicality

Marseille are going to be losing quite a few players this summer as they had a very old squad. If De La Fuente is any good he will get a lot of playing time. Just lost Thauvin and don’t have much creativity on the wings outside of Payet.

They have yet to start the qualifying for 22 and unless we go ultra-peak CONCACAF we should get in relatively easily
