I heard he was going to play a newly created 2nd goalie position. He will spend the entire game standing behind the goalie using his body to try and block shots that the goalie misses. GGG is a genius.
I mean he’s not wrong, but nothing I’ve seen makes me feel like Dest is acting that way. Alexi just clickbaiting per usual.
Lalas is a douche but there does seem to be a lot of "thank god" and "USMNT is so lucky" chatter on social media. I agree with his point but its a laughable non issue because of the other 10,000,000 real problems not being addressed.
I'd say about 95% of the responses are how he (and some mentioning Ernie) needs to go. It seems he is pretty universally hated. Unfortunately nothing will happen until people stop showing up, which won't happen either.
IDK I'd say a ton of people have stopped going, and I'd bet TV viewership is way down as well. I'm sure people aren't buying kits or merchandise right now either since there is no excitement around the team. All of that is already happening with a horrendous product on the pitch and there is truly no heat on him from the federation.
I honestly wonder what the variability in TV viewership is between a “good” USMNT vs a “bad” USMNT playing a friendly or a concacaf qualifier on a Tuesday night is? My guess is there are people (us) who watch every game, and there are people who watch the World Cup, the gold cup final, and the friendlies against top 5-10 countries to see Neymar or Pogba, and I don’t think the relative quality of the team affects either pool of viewers variability that much. Just my two cents. I think this is about butts in seats, which is even sadder. Said it after his post game press conference against Canada, he’s a dead man with no ideas, and that letter confirms it. He has the balls to use youth and inexperience as an excuse when he left Sargent at home for the Gold Cup. Fuck off. Writing letters to supporters begging them to come out to games less than a year in. Fuck off. Trying everything to play our damn near Bundesliga TOTS 20 year old MF at Right back. FUCK OFF. Either win, or play the player pool that gives us the best chance in 2022. Preferably both, definitely not neither.
I can say personally my emotional investment is way down and so is my viewership. I was an 'every game' viewer that would get emotional for every friendly vs. Mexico but now I won't go out of my way. I'll check this thread but that's as far as it goes. I still keep my $20 to American Outlaws going though just to support it but also the ladies are great so happy to stay invested in that team.
That Dest video is interesting. He just says over and over again how it was based on emotion and he knows the US is a worse team. But still cool.
Had there been any kind of update on when Tyler Adams should be healthy again? Seems like he's been out forever
just read this yesterday. I think he f’d himself up again when he came back to train with RBNJ and never should of played in that DFB-Pokal final. https://www.onceametro.com/2019/10/...odyssey-definitely-a-long-frustrating-process
his near goal just outside the box earlier was a thing of beauty, the footwork to get the space and the strike
Take away Roldan, Trapp, Zardes, and Boyd and it's not a terrible squad. If only we had an in-form attacking player who played for a good team in one of the world's elite leagues.
lmfao @ Trapp still getting the call up over a guy like Canouse and Roldan getting the nod over Duane Holmes after the absolutely howler of a game he had last camp
Are you referring to Pulisic? I’m all for trashing the idiotic roster decisions but the post above the roster is a tweet stating he was in doubt after picking up a knock
