Steve Clark did a ton also so think it’s more how Gregg plays but he is good with his feet and always seems comfortable
Obvs SugarShaun eould know more but Berhalter is always big about building out of the back every time. When they played NE and their press I remember they started going route 1 to bypass it, I believe they did the same vs RBNY as well.
Yeah, that’s definitely the preference. The year before the run to the final (2014 I think) they struggled bigly against the press from NE and got destroyed in the playoffs. Adapted and played more of the long ball to counter that moving forward, which was successful with Kei and his heading ability
SugarShaun What's with the potential Berhalter to Galaxy speculation? If he gets offers for both jobs, which one you think he'd take?
Yeah, TT was just saying that he apparently has a lot of connections there so it might make it a difficult choice, but that was the first i've heard of it.
Would like to see Nova up top tonight. He's been called up a few times now and the only time he's gotten on is when we've already called off the dogs or when there's not enough time left for him to really do anything.
Just sat down. 10 rows up right at midfield. Much like Easy Company at Bastogne, we are surrounded and vastly outnumbered.
Feels almost disrespectful to Nova at this point. Been producing/getting called up for camps and camps now and has never started. Zardes gets called up for the first time in years and immediately gets the start.
Has Acosta been playing wide for Colorado? Not sure our other options wide but would’ve preferred sitting either he or Trapp than that setup. Zardes doesn’t surprise me with how well he’s been playing but I would’ve been content without ever seeing him for USMNT again Back line, I’m ok getting to see different guys to see how they do
Why is Trapp still starting? And I don't even mean that from the perspective that he's been bad, because he's been fine. If you're Sarachan and you're going to sit Brooks/Yedlin/Wood because they're established players who have gotten a lot of time recently, how is Trapp not in that same category, especially considering how much Sarachan likes him?
My only thought was that seems to be set that Trapp is his captain and wants him in the lineup at all times As much as I love Trapp that seems to be the only thing that makes much sense
Yeah, Sarachan is obviously a huge Trapp fan. Would rather have seen Adams start at the 6 tonight. Hopefully that’s a mistake on USSF’s part because that really needs to be more a diamond with Weah up top next to Zardes. Acosta can send good crosses in from out wide but he’s not not going to beat his man 1v1 and isn’t accustomed to the movement a wide player needs to provide.
How are we supposed to take US Soccer seriously when ESPN's giving them their leftover '15 College Football soundtrack
Nexus just texted to ask what the delay was and u said this shit wouldn’t happen with Euro sports. This is such an American thing. Tune in at least 15 minutes after the listed start time. Do that for Euro stuff and you’ve missed 15 minutes of action. I’m heated about this
The wife and I are watching through Arrested Development so we got an episode of that in. Still hasn’t started yet.
Well like an IDIOT I watched like 10 minutes of pregame before they showed a countdown clock figuring surely it would start by 745
Fine with friendlies but agree for any meaningful game. Though I am concerned about the future of the game in Columbus after the loss and with the Crew situation
