He’s more of an all around bad take man, whereas Twellman is fine in studio but can’t even tell what’s a foul and what isn’t watching a live game.
Last living member of the 1950 World Cup team that upset England 1-0, captain Walter Bahr, has passed away at the age of 91
And what happens after you’ve cashed your Wells Fargo check and got released from your Mexican side.....
hey the bank that has been recently in trouble for account fraud & racketeering suggests we should support our rival in national soccer....
Seeing scenes like the above make missing the World Cup really suck right now. Was at a bar in a similar (not as crazy) celebration post Brooks goal vs Ghana.
We better not see Bradley or Jozy or any of those other clowns back after the world cup. Stick with all the young guys moving forward.
Jozy's 28. He'll still be around 2022 cycle, particularly the early part. But definitely don't want to see Bradley taking extended minutes from our young CM's.
Jozy or Wood. With no manager though it’s hard to know any sort of expectations of managing the early portions of qualifying vs phasing our older guys who won’t be around for 2022 (or at least who shouldn’t be)
I'm not saying Marsch but I think the style could be good for the national team. We usually have the athletes to do it, and the press can help hide our deficit in actual soccer skill. The problem is it takes a lot of practice and coordination which would be be tough to really implement on a national team that only practices together a handful of times a year.
Can you explain to me why, as a fan of US Soccer, I should be excited about this because it reeks of 'more of the same' and status quo from the USSF.
I don’t think anything I have to say would change your feelings but just will throw out some things about him. Positives: Good relationship with Earnie. Attacking system. He actually has a system. Seems to get the most out of his players (look at what players do in his system vs outside of it: Kamara x2, Meram, Finley, Zardes) So far I don’t think that describes anything USSF has been doing the last 7 years In the short term I think that Yedlin and Robinson would fit his system quite well. He’s proven he can get any of his guys to produce at ST so no reason to think he couldn’t push Jozy/Wood/Sargent to better production. DirtBall would you like to chime in
Played under Bruce, is an MLS manager, I think that automatically puts some people’s minds to MLS/USSF/SUM all being tied together in one corrupt basket which I wouldn’t fault someone for thinking
I was thinking it was a 100% done deal for Gregg but JCO hates Mexico, Mexico hates him. Ernie reportedly likes him. After the Korea game JCO was asked about the USMNT and said something like “of course I’d love that job, any manager in the world would love that job.” And there’s rumors that Ernie’s people have contacted JCO people and if the two sides wanted the contract details would be agreed to.
Hyndman going on loan to Wigan. Past couple of years have been a disaster for him since deciding to leave Fulham.
And there it is. I don’t see any way possible he resigns with Mexico. They hate each other so much even with the first 2 World Cup games. No clue where the Colombian job stands.
I’ve read that Osorio and Mexico hate each other but can someone explain why? Is the reason a reason that would manifest itself with US fans/management too? We kind of just dealt with the ego maniac coach who bristles at criticism...
I do laugh when people say MLS/SUM has too much influence with the USSF when it’s not even a fraction of how much power the LigaMX owners have over the FMF.
