pranks like... Teens pranked a friend with toy guns — and he shot back, police say By Lindsey Bever Updated May 24, 2022 at 4:18 p.m. EDT|Published May 24, 2022 at 3:05 p.m. EDT (iStock) A Mississippi teen was fatally shot over the weekend during an alleged prank involving water guns that appeared real. Authorities in Jackson, Miss., said three teens on Saturday drove up to a friend’s house on Village Drive, wearing ski masks and toting water guns that resembled assault rifles, according to ABC affiliate WAPT. Police told the news station that one of the teens, identified by authorities as 15-year-old Christopher Patton, pointed his toy gun at his friend, 16-year-old Joshua Davis — and then Davis shot back with a real gun. Patton was struck in the chest and died, police said. Deputy Chief Deric Hearn told NBC affiliate WLBT that no one was taken into custody. At this time, he said, police are investigating the case as a justifiable homicide, in which the person is absolved from any criminal liability.
the guy they had on who said we need to respond like we did after 9/11...his heart was in the right place but no lets not do that again
If what I am seeing is right, it’s 3rd and 4th graders, so 8-10 year olds. I just can’t with this shit anymore.
I passed them setting up for this fucking thing on my way leaving work to go pick up my kid. This fucking sucks, I hate this country.
Wait until you see the number of states loosening gun laws, just in time after two years of people being stuck at home losing every interpersonal skill they had and yelling at each other on social media. This summers death toll will be one for the books.
Same here although it was tennesee for me. But its also the cops themselves. I dont know about denmark but ive seen one warning shot by a policeman in my life and have never ever even heard a gunshot beyond that.
never heard shots here either. there are shootings but they are rare and mostly happen to people in the game so to speak.
When I have the windows open at my house, I hear gunfire 3 days a week lately... and the sweltering DC summer heat (shortened tempers) hasn't even arrived yet.
For those who don’t know uvalde is in a part of south texas that is very Hispanic. Expect when rich oil men want to go deer or exotic game hunting on high fenced ranches.
There have been three shootings near my house the past ten days. The person four houses down got murdered a week after new 9 year old relative accidentally shot and killed her 5 year old son.
We had a friend visiting from the UK the other week and someone got killed a few blocks from our house --could clearly hear the shots -- 13 or so --- and our friend was just incredulous that there wasn't more concern. ...but I mean, what can you do? Story got like 2 sentences in the Washington Post.
This is fucking infuriating, I’m so sick of this shit happening with no end on sight due to the absolute shit politicians running this country.
My hope is it would have this reaction because I still vividly have this gaming memory and how I felt physically ill in playing a game. This game made you see the consequences of the choices you made walking through the refugee camp you just hit with white phosphorus trying to fight the army you thought was there.
Dipped into some rage watching Fox News. So far they’ve talked about fortifying the schools, being nicer to cops, and love.
I live in a row house on a one way street. Our block is fairly quiet. 3 blocks over on Georgia Avenue and about 5 blocks south of us it's been really bad lately. I don't know how safe we are, to be quite honest. The Georgia Ave shootings have happened within 2 blocks of a DC police station. Edit: this happened down in Petworth today, right in front of the Roosevelt HS Spoiler
They turned off replies. Fucking cowards. If you had told me that could t replace my sadness with rage I would have said no. I would be wrong.
Hey bro i saw where u heard the number of dead was 2 but 14 is being reported. Im hoping like hell ur right. Have u heard anything else?
we need a total and complete shutdown of our nation's public schools until we can figure out why they are causing mental health problems
