The show goes out of its way to try and make Amy/Anna Chlumsky look less attractive than she really is. her body is about to burst through all the simple, PC female professional clothing they make her wear Spoiler
One of my favorite gags is how Mike is always so quick to come up with insults the press will use. Selina: "Oh God, what will the press call me this time? Mike "Meyer Meyer Pants on Fire, Selina the Misleader, Shit for Brains" Selina: (insulted look) Mike: "No, they won't say that."
Could be slightly off with the line, but Selina going "the rule book has been torn up, and america is wiping its nasty ass with it" was so, so good
Silicon Valley is excellent, but its weird to me how much more active that thread is. Veep and SV are in the same tier imo, both are awesome.
Just catching up on the last 5 eps or so and didn't see this mentioned: "I like my bourbon like I like my women. 18 years old and wet" - Jonah
Tom: "So what happens in the event of a tie?" Ben: "We go to a computer and google 'What happens in the event of a tie.'"
bill continually worrying about going to prison was amazing at the end he said something like "oh you're tense? well i am about to go to prison" and i just lost it
So thinking about next season would it be better for her to stay prez or end up back in the Veep chair. Seems like it's going to be hard to really move her backwards, but something about her getting back doored for president by Tom James just seems like classic Selena problems.
i hope she stays president so they can just focus squarely on presidential stuff as opposed to elections/races/campaigning
Kent and Ben murder under that stated criteria... And they are fabulous together... "I can not endorse that statement, but I do acknowledge it."
Why did everyone suddenly turn on Tom James after the election came out in a tie? It's not like he engineered the tie or created the rules.
I think it was just because he was clearly excited about the opportunity to usurp Selena. He looked almost giddy about it.
Yeah I hate it for Parks and Rec and Poehler but if it was going to lose to anything at least it was Veep which is also extraordinary deserving
When Dan Egan is on the CNN set during the election and it looked like a tie: "Dan, you worked with Ms Meyer's team. What are they doing right now? "Well, her team is full of very bright people. I'm sure they're building a plan right now." :cuts to them googling what happens in a tie:
Think my favorite part of the finale was the very first scene. Gary talking to Selina, "America doesn't love you, they are IN love with you." Then you immediately hear Mike yell off screen, "We just lost Kentucky!" I finally watched the full season the last few days, so I'm catching up. The lobbying hearing episode was the best one IMO.

Started watching the series this year, all caught up. Show is so fucking great. Bill constantly piping in about going to jail was great. Everyone worrying about jobs next year and he's said he's worried about which prisoner will make him his bitch killed me.
just flipping through hbo and came across the deposition ep from last season. what a great great great ep that was
Binged watched this show with the wife the past 3 weeks and we are through ep 2 of Season 4. One of the best comedies I have watched. Ben walking around in a wife beater in the West Wing and saying "Where is my shirt? This isnt fucking Die Hard," is the hardest I have laughed in a while.
Finally caught up. Really glad they won a shit ton of Emmys for season 4 because that was a great season. Easily the funniest show on tv. Ben welcoming Jonah and Richard to Friday night drinks with the guys: "Welcome to the circle jerk. Grab a dick."
I binged through the entire series over the summer. Concerned about how I'll handle GOT, Silicon Valley and this all on the same night. It's too much.
