    Quick facts about the club:
    Country: Denmark
League: 1st division (2nd highst in Denmark)
last time in the highest League: 7 seasons ago

My local club and my first love in the world of sports is quite the interesting story right now. after 20 years of poor management in almost every aspect of the club, An investment group with a former top agent as the owner has bought the club a month ago.

The club was facing bankrouptcy and had only 6 players on contract for the season. there was no headcoach and no preseason planned because nobody knew if there would be a club until the new owners took over.

they spent the first week finding the right Coach. They signed Andreas Alm, the former coach of AEK Stockholm one of the biggest clubs in sweden. The guy had offers from some of the biggest Danish clubs and other european clubs.

so that left about 2-3 weeks to actually field a team. They got some interesting Danish signings from players who have played quite a few games in the best division. Promoted some youth players. one has been hearing from teams like Roma and Southampton.

the owner then used his network to start a foreign invasion of young players from Africa and south America. We have signed a former Lille youth player that they wanted to keep, a Peruvian midfielder who had Peruvian journalists follow him at the Danish airport he landed in. a player with one game for CSKA Moscow. etc. etc.

today was the first game and the team hasnt really even practised yet because of the late arrival of most of the players.

No one knows how this will turn out but this has to be one of the biggest shake ups in soccer and the team is pretty much one big lottery ticket at the moment.

first game today was a draw against a promoted team, and it was straight up retarded to watch at times.

IDK if anyone will care but i'll keep the thread updated.

Can we become their kit sponsor? Just imagine the dumpman logo getting that type of international exposure.

We can be like their John Green.

Dumpman logo on the back of the shorts would be amazing except there would be a cease a desist from the NBA.

every player has their own shorts sponsor so we could buy in on one and have the stadion speaker say it every home game. no logo though. based on the other shorts sponsors id guess its not very expensive.

Its been a running joke for awhile now that you shouldnt walk by the stadium with a pair of boots if you dont want to be pulled in for a trial.

History time for people wanting to know more.

2300 people attended the first game yesterday. We are by far the biggest market in the 1st division. We used to have 3-6k for first division matches, but a lot of people stopped giving a shit after the board spent 10 years fucking up the club. biggest disaster was to absorb a rival club and changing the name of the club in order to get sponsors and fans from that city. They gave up after 18 months and went back to Vejle Boldklub but that rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way, and bigger things need to happen to get them back. but new ownership should be a step in the right direction.

We have fans in the entire country due to being a storied club winning a lot of trophies in the 60's and 70's. We had a player win european footballer of the year in the 70s which is absolutely unheard of. He played the first half of the year for Barcelona to be fair but still insane.

We have supplied players to Man U. Everton, Barcelona, Real Madrid and a lot of big time German and Italian clubs.

Too bad people stopped giving a shit, but that will change quickly if we gain promotion.

Next game is thursday at home against FC Roskilde who looks strong. I'll be attending as always. I just hope to see a bit of an improvement, but i bet it will take 5-10 games before we will see something not cringe worthy.

2nd game was today. played Roskilde who is one of the better teams. Game ended 0-0 and Vejle missed a penalty kick. defense is still shaky as fuck so we got lucky a few times. a lot of improvement since the last game though. D'Avilla and Gutti two of the foreigners looks like they could be really great. We also have some interesting strikers, but the build up game and running patterns still lack chimestry. Lets see how that improves over the next few games, when they have more practise and games together.

Our captain said that they mostly use sign language at the moment because many of the new players dont speak english. uphill battle with 2 weeks of practise.

the penalty kick today was Vejles first in 51 games in a row. jesus.

Got down 1-0 today but won 3-1. :feelsgoodman: 5 points in 3 games is pretty good based on the fact that theres so much work still to be done.

Vejle is in 2nd place but has played a game more than the rest except for the team we met today.

Next game is next thursday against a team that has played way better than expected so it will be interesting to see what happens.
