Ya I remember he made up Xavier but I thought one of them said something along the lines of "to think he wanted to go with Freddy Mercury". Like that was his name. I was drunk.
I was completely in the dark about what CBGB OMFUG was or meant. Just looked up some stuff about it. Pretty kewl man!
Agreed It feels like shameless pandering with all the famous musicians and cultural references being crammed in each episode.
It shouldve been a hell of a lot better than it was. Still worth watching and hopefully it turns a corner
Weeks later and I'm not sure I'd call it good, but I would say it's worth a watch... that probably makes no sense
Yeah I mean there are points where it is very entertaining, especially if you are interested in the record industry. It just tries to do too much and suffers.
I enjoyed it week to week, but it wasn't amazing. I'm not sure how different it would be to binge watch, buts it's got great production value and good music so I don't think it's a complete waste of time.
that sucks, I guess... series had promise, but I think it was some weird plot line development and pacing from the first episode. Like, if you're going to have a murder there that the protagonist is involved in, why not tease it through the season -- you know, that something really bad happened, built a bunch of tension, and then hit the audience with it at the series finale or something.
