believe their rivals site said Morris and Henry T Morris just announced for OU so that would be surprising
FWIW OU sites are saying Morris is expected in Norman tomorrow. Doesn’t mean crazy things can’t happen.
247 Sources indicated there was interest from Lane Kiffin and Hugh Freeze, but that Vols haven’t gone down those roads and it would certainly be surprising if they did. A source also indicated that, after the hiring of White, the thought was the search would move away from the likes of Jamey Chadwell, Tom Herman or Lance Leipold.
Gosh if Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss after a year just to go back to Tennessee...I can't even finish this sentence.
Good for Leipold if he can land this. I think he's a great coach but he's going to fail just like the rest of them but he can ride that sweet buy out into retirement since he's 56.
Elliott turns down interviews for Auburn and multiple NFL OC jobs just to take the tenn job in time for the ncaa to hammer them? that would be a very strange move
I’m new to this but wouldn’t the new coach at Tennessee want to know what sort of penalties they’d be looking at from the NCAA before he committed? Maybe a great coach takes the job for the idea being at Tennessee but why do it with sanctions looming and a depleted roster?
Would be the wrong hire for them at this point anyway, and NB isn't dumb. Their answer is Kiffin, but of course that'll never happen.
they have no answer. Fan base dreams of 98 while they’re a bottom third sec school, good luck. Gonna be same spot in 2-3 years
There's a good argument for them in the bottom third. Auburn, Tamu, Mississippi, Mizzou, and Kentucky you could easily say are above then rn. They have more talent than some of those teams but the results haven't been there obv
Tennessee is definitely at the bottom. Just looking at the last decade other than Vandy they have had the most seasons under .500. Also their average recruiting ranking on 247 is 14.
