She’s a nexus being. It’s also the reason her magic is capable of giving Monica powers. I missed that reference in the depression medicine commercial.
In comic lore, a nexus is a place where all things come together. It’s not a really well defined location, more of an idea. Nexus beings are kind of physical representations of that. Because they are conversions of all things, they have the ability to pull from anywhere and even create. It’s unclear which Wanda is doing currently but they’re certainly making it seem as if she’s created both vision and the twins...while possibly having pulled FOX Pietro from out of thin air.
It’s worth noting that, like most comic heroes, Wanda has a super distorted history. Hers may be one of the weirdest through different retellings and storylines. There seems to be little fragments of a number of them involved in this telling. “Scarlett Witch” being a title more than a nickname, from Agatha’s mention of the term, is an interesting bit, as is what they ultimately do with her relationship with Vision and ultimately the twins. Comic spoiler below with a possibility for a possible conclusion for the show. Spoiler Billy and Tommy are (re)absorbed into a villain’s psyche and Wanda has to have her memory wiped(by Agatha) to maintain sanity. If any form of that happens, it might juuuust be enough to push poor Wanda over that last edge into a day 0 event for mutants.
I’m not sure the above actually happens but I just can’t see the hex coming down peacefully. It’s too much energy to just evaporate or be absorbed back into her.
not sure if this is true but I saw somewhere that Agatha’s magic is purple because it’s a combination of witch magic (blue) and chaos magic (red).
Someone posted a 30 minute video of a guy breaking the episode down and he was thinking the same thing.
I think that’s why Zemo isn’t on the raft in FaWS, dipshit tries forming the Thunderbolts and Zemo plays him.
I know that part. My question was if the name Photon had any meaning to Maria in the comics. I wasn’t super familiar with her family from the comics. Juggsian research says Maria was Air Force in the comics but not nearly the stature from the MCU. So the use of the name, assuming she uses it in the MCU, as an homage to her mom is strictly an MCU thing.
So I've watched Ep8 3.5 times now and some episode breakdowns and the "What is grief, if not love persevering" gets better every time I hear it.
Always loved this exchange. They can easily say Vision transferred Ultron into his body when he zapped him with the mind stone, and then kept him dormant.
Bryan Cranston making Vision laugh is probably higher than Walter White and Tim Whatley on his resume
With Feige saying Phase 4 of the MCU revolves around Wanda, I am expecting something very big with the finale on Friday. Also love the swerve Wanda always had powers, and the Infinity Stone just ramped them up to max levels.
That's a retcon I can buy and it makes perfect sense. Feige still needs to walk back the Carol Danvers holding back Thanos with full gaunlet bit of nonsense.
That is his one real mistake, IMO. They wanted her to be the new centerpiece for the MCU, and it simply didn’t work. A lot of it, to me, was based upon my partial opinion Brie Larson just doesn’t fit with the rest of the cast. I mean, watching her with all the other actors (who are apparently so tight they have a group text), is just awkward. Especially the interview she had with Hemsworth. It was supposed to be funny, but it was just awkward because it was obvious they really didn’t like each other
Somewhere I read that she was absorbing the energy from the stones and using their power so Thanos couldn’t. That’s why when he pulls out the power stone and holds it in his fist he can punch her across the screen. No clue where I saw that.
they added Agatha All Along to the Disney Hits playlist on Spotify and my kids are really feeling it.
That video that got posted yesterday the guy kept saying he thinks there will be a surprise 10th episode. Is there anything but blind optimism to base that off of?
It is not. He’s stopped posting but I can assure he is alive (or someone is using his phone to play a trick on me)
It's because there's a "making of" special next week, similar to the sit down interview show done for the Mandalorian
I was going to say that the finale of WV is going to be so epic our body will need the extra week to recover before F&WS.
