Drones could not even sniff a carrier nonetheless carry something that has a payload nearly enough to do any sort of damage. Surface ships, especially level 3 ones like carriers, in wartime are water tight and it takes a fucking mammoth effort to knock them out. We're not talking LCS that could be put out of service by swarm boats.

I'm not sure what your issue with my post was but I feel comfortable with my knowledge in this area to put it minimally.

 

A friend of mine who is a retired AF Colonel thinks the way to neutralize the S-400 is to swarm it with stealthy drones released from a B-52 type plane while F-22s maintain air superiority and 35s take out air defense systems when they reveal themselves

They already have a non-naval version of the Hornet. They don't need the VTOL or Navy versions of the -35 cuz they don't have carriers or amphibious assault docks. Seems like it'd make more sense to buy more -18s or maybe some -15s.

One of the benefits of this was when we went over for the first gulf war, they had a bunch of our equipment sitting around in great shape because they rarely trained with it. We came over and fired it up and drove a bunch of tanks and jets right out of the hangars.
