Not bad looking, but it’s a confused design… is it a diver, or a GMT? I hate mashups & the diver bezel kills it for me.
GMTs with water resistance are the ultimate travel watch... Omega, GS, Tudor all do that combo better than the Hydroquest GMT... cannot believe I'm saying this, but Tag does as well. This is much better from Longines, despite my hatred for the , and still has adequate 10 Bar rating. Spoiler
Longines already one step ahead of you... https://www.longines.com/en-us/p/watch-longines-spirit-l3-802-5-53-6 Spoiler
That’s a 10/10 if not for the yelp review at 6 o’clock. Just maddening that they don’t get rid of it.
I'm a bit of a hater of the Moonswatch but....this actually looks pretty awesome? Automatic for around $400.
Was not a fan of the MoonSwatch when I bought it. I’ll have to see this in person but I like the Atlantic and Antarctic ones.
I like the look of these. The movement is shit, so I'm sure there will be a lot of people complaining about their $400 watch much like the MS quality was hammered. I love Blancpain but think this is an interesting collaboration because they really aren't a brand that 'pops' or has the presence that Omega does with non watch people (and even with a lot of watch people, Blancpain is still a traditional, old school brand.) Maybe this generates some interest for them and gives them a chance to do something different with their collection when they have more attention.
They’re going to show incredibly well on social media. I suppose that’s all that really matters in this Swatch endeavor.
I suppose when Swatch releases a plastic Breguet tourbillon we can finally say the idea has jumped the stark.
Came close to pulling the trigger on the white dial chrono but held off. Keep going back and forth between IWC, Tudor, and Zenith after the Omega
Really wish I had a Swatch store closer than 90 miles away. Those Blancpain Swatches are pretty sweet
Ended up getting the black dial with some custom engraving on the back for my nephew. It turned out nice, can’t wait to give it to him.
Currently in Santorini and a watch store has the blue faced speedy 57. 10,800 euro with 24 tax rebate. The sales woman said she could make a call to get a discount. At 15% discount it would be roughly $7600 compared to around $10,300 in NYC. Thoughts? I was thinking of getting a panerai in Italy since I have an omega sea master already. The bracelet on the 57 is beautiful.
Not enough meat on those bones to flip it. If you love it though, go for it. If you just buy it because it’s a “good deal,” you’ll regret it. (I know I know, genius level insight.)
Tough to tell if it’s worth the flip as BrickTamland mentions. I see a range of prices and availability online for the blue face. This is exactly what I’m thinking in my head. I really like it but I don’t know if I like it at $8k as I’m spending a good bit on this honeymoon anyway. Thinking I will hold off for now. Between the sea master and datejust I have, I think my next purchase needs to be a bit different in style. I’ll ask for 30% off and see what she says and go from there maybe.
Anesthesiologist doing my mother's nerve block for her knee replacement this morning was wearing a nice panerai. Dropped a is that a panerai, yepp panerai, that is beautiful but he ignored me. that thing is pure sex.
I came for the blue dial, stayed for the black dial. It is gorgeous in person (though it wears like a coaster on my wrist.)

Nah not particularly unpopular for a take. I think they’re pretty ugly and wouldn’t buy one, and they don’t have much prestige/respect in the watch industry from everything I’ve seen.
there are too many hamilton khaki variations, murph, etc to be able to decide on one need to go scope them out in person
