Guy at a bar had the Tiffany nautilus on yesterday. Most random thing I’ve ever seen. Said it was his friend’s who let him wear it.
Not sure. I guess they like me? Bought a few other brands- two tone Santos/JLC Reverso with Diamonds (with 10% discount) for my wife. Bought a GMT Batman in 2016 which I still have. Black dial is much nicer in person than in pictures no way I’d pay Grey Market price for it though. Got the OP 36 Coral Red last July and casually mentioned I wanted a Daytona mostly as a joke. Got the call Friday night they had a shipment and the Daytona was mine if I wanted it.
Guys please tell me this is an ugly stupid gold-plated quartz watch and I’m stupid for paying $450 for it.
I’ve been craving a yellow or rose gold watch. I’m in need of a sporty watch. That guy is the leader in the clubhouse.
I'm a little surprised that none of the smaller/microbrands don't do white dial divers very well. Have a single pass leather NATO that would look great with one, but I can't justify an omega just for that. May go for a modded seiko.
I think this looks pretty good: https://www.spinnaker-watches.com/c...ns-watch/products/hass-pearl-white-sp-5087-11
That Spinnaker does look pretty good; hadn't seen that. The doxa's nice but has the wrong lug size. I really like the white sinn with red hands as well. May keep my eyes peeled for a deal.
Only had Mars, Earth, Sun and Jupiter available. If nothing else, should keep me from spending money for a bit.
what do people attribute to the rise in secondary market prices over the last few years and is there any thought to it changing? i'm selling my Rolex OP right now and want to turn around and buy a Submariner. But I'm wondering if I should wait at all for the inflated prices to come down a bit or if this is just a permanent thing.
I'd say it's another assett class that wealthy folks are comfortable with putting their money into. Market is volatile, lots of headwinds there... real estate is facing its own challenges for buy-in.
I can't believe it took until now but I just kopped my first microbrand watch. I will post when it arrives.
Figured out what is next (non-Rolex waitlist) this weekend… reached out to my AD this morning Spoiler Zenith Defy Skyline
As a poor I’ve been thinking either the Oris Roberto Clemente or the Hamilton Intra Matic Panda Spoiler
Tried one on in Miami and loved the dimensions and quick connect bracelet function. However, I couldn’t get over the one-tenth’s second subdial; it was just too distracting for me.
I tried on a ton of stuff in Orlando this past weekend... arrived at the Skyline by process of elimination.
Yep, I loved that one and also this Longines Sector Classic: The next non-Rolex for me is either the Longines or, more likely, a pre-owned Nomos Tangente.
Have an Oris Artelier Complication Moonphase I am looking to unload if anyone has interest... or trade.
I never, ever wear my Nomos Metro. Which is what ultimately pulled me away from the GS Omiwatari (which is AMAZING in person). I have zero need for a dress watch.
I’ve been thinking about a Nomos Ahoi. Has the Nomos design I like but is sportier and more versatile than their dress watches.
I guess I've decided on getting a Zenith, but not exactly 100% on the model. Chronomaster Original vs. Defy Skyline... need help deciding Spoiler
