I get the perception that Devonta Smith needs to bulk up but I honestly think it's just a visual thing. The guy is a pit bull and is very physical. Watched him for 3 years be a hellacious blocker
Drafting a defensive player before micah parsons seems like a silly thing to me. He is just so dynamic. He could play inside, outside, edge, and even rush interior on passing downs. He is a lock to me to heavily upgrade a defense in his first year.
Cincy not trading out of that #1 spot is someone who has not followed the NFL Draft Lawrence is a generational talent. He will not fall below #1.
Penei Sewell is worthy of the number 1 pick if you don't get multiple firsts and second day picks He was the best OL in the country last year and the best in a decade. He is 19 right now.
Sewell is the best OL prospect in over 20 years, arguably better than Orlando Pace 24 years ago. If a team has a QB they like and can’t trade back then it could happen.
seems like every single 2021 Draft list I've seen has him (Surtain) in the top 3 or 5 of overall prospects. And I haven't watched every second he's played at Bama, but when I have watched he hasn't exactly stood out as a dominant player but bloodlines are really important to pro scouts and the Bama pedigree certainly helps
it was lazy to give the Bengals the #1 pick. Burrow is too good. Its clearly going to be the Jets and hopefully Lawrence’s career isnt totally fucked by going to that org and having Gase as a HC
There are definitely way worse teams, and I don’t think the Bengals will be No. 1 by any means. I’d say 3-6 range and getting Sewell will just depend where they fall in there.
After two losses to dog shit teams we are saying the Bengals are too good to have the worst record in football? Being the “worst team” isn’t relevant, pick is determined by record. Looks to be about 2-3 wins at best. Hard to beat many teams with the worst OL in the NFL. If those (giant) NFL logos show me anything, it’s that simplicity is the answer to a meaningful logo. So yes, the Jacksonville Jaguars again suck in another area. Also - Washington could really spice up their new logo and make it look more like a premiere league soccer club badge or something.
Meh. Guy is a top 10 pick without playing a snap. No reason to play in this fucked up season when there’s little he can do to improve his draft stock.
There’s a global pandemic going on. I’ll give the guy a pass for taking a year off to make sure he stays healthy both physically and from COVID
If you can't grasp a kid passing on playing for free when he's guaranteed a huge payday in a few months, that's on you. I don't blame him at all.
Oh, I can grasp it. I get it. Just think it’s sucks for his teammates. And I’m sure NFL teams will think a little harder on drafting him now despite his immense talent.
