Week 2 Lines

Us being a 19 point favorite is incredible considering how shittastically we played this week, and the fact that were the away team. I would bet this shrinks significantly by the end of the week.

 

The Hawaii Army game will be played at 6:00 am Hawaii time so that would be a 2:00 am wake up time.

No way that can be correct. Virginia struggled with Richmond at home, now have to fly across the country to play USC in our Home Opener. I will be every last disposable cent I have on this game, if this is the line.

 

Florida at -15 is worth taking points over

 

It makes no sense at all. USC would smash them in Virginia, but now the cavs are flying out and playing a game with a 10:30 pm start time for them. Half-time will be after midnight.

 

ITT a homer thinks too highly of his team. USC just struggled with fucking Hawaii. Betting the house on a team that gave up 36 point and 500 yards of offense to Hawaii is foolish. It very well could come through for you, but I don't think it's as great of a bet as you think it is.

 

I like Michigan and the points, maybe even money line. Okie St only laying 9 to Troy looks solid to me, too.

 

FSU is the early 1 that sticks out to me. I'm not buying the Phil Steele Oklahoma hype yet. Ponder is the better QB in the matchup. FSU OL can handle Oklahoma DL. I don't see Landry carving them up and see a very close game.

Nothing much else sticks out. Have a feeling Miami is gonna be a public play and the line will not budge and maybe go the opposite way.

 

Fishy if you ask me. Always worried when you look at a small line and 1 team is percieved clearly better. The lower ranked team covers more times than not.

Technically it is betting everything but the house. But I am correct here in my assesment. hawaii on the island is no joke. Virginia in no way will be able to move the ball like that. Hopefully your extremely shortsided line of thinking will be shared by others, and keep that line under 20. Anyone who looks at matchups like you do, really should not be betting anyway, at least not much.

 

I think that line will be down to a TD soon.

what's everyones opinion on gtech+13? it's already gone up a point since being posted here... kansas looked awful in every phase of...everything against a horrible opponent.

If they were plus 13 I would deposit all the money in my checking account and bet it. I'm sure you met -13 but mistyped.

Honestly I was looking at that game as well and really thinking I'll probably be putting some money on it, got to wait for my next two bets tonight to go through before on decide which games I want to go after this weekend.

stuff like this just makes me wonder what I'm missing...Troy won on a last second field goal @ home against Bowling Green, while Okie State skullfucked Washington state.

 

I would be really careful with hawaii. 7,000 mile flight and jetlag out the ass. Things like that can affect a timing rythym offense much more than a power offense.

 

I would think they're at least on par.

Eastern Michigan +17. They are really improved and played pretty close with Army last week. Miami played a great game that they had been looking forward to for almost 9 months. Everyone telling them how great they played last week, moral victories are for the birds.

EM ran the ball VERY well last week and will continue to line up and run right at Miami unlike UF who tried to run around them, when they werent running backwards after the errant snaps. Ron English has a huge project on his hands, but I think he has the team heading in the right direction this year.
