very much a “first match back after 2 months off” sort of vibe as most of these guys didn’t play againt Valladolid
it’s true dot gif the high line isn’t working and I think Rudi may be a better fullback than Eder but good lord the need for an elite right back
will always wonder what could have been had he not been perpetually hurt for like 4 straight years but will always love the man for the contributions and memorable moments he provided when he was able to give it 100%
also both FB positions need to be overhauled not insisting on a buy back for Hakimi continues to look worse and worse
always want to beat these assholes especially with hardware on the line even if it’s a meaningless throw away title so LFG I guess
with Tchouameni out there isnt a single defensive midfielder on the roster currently and the entire midfield is totally overrun defense is buns and in desperate need of some actual world class fullbacks
just shambolic defending yet again seems wild to say but Carlo may very well not make it to the end of the season if things don't turn around drastically. and quick.
I really hope they don’t let Camavinga slip. He’s one of my favorite young players (of any nationality) and has been since Rennes
I believe I’ve been misinterpreted on this. I wasn’t meaning it as shit talking in this instance, as Benzema is great all around, but there’s maybe nobody else in the game that could have turned that opportunity (if one can realistically call it that) into a goal.
fantastic strike far from perfect but nice to see them hold on and actually put a match away, albeit 20 minutes later than they should have
this is a very good idea and can bring some much needed depth to the left back spot (assuming the plan on keeping him and not just flipping him for more money)
they're disjointed and sloppy today so it'll prob take another moment of individual brilliance if they're gonna pull this off
Happy for him. He’s been forcing it a lot the last few weeks and this performances have suffered. Hopefully this gives him some confidence moving forward. And some satisfaction given the BS he’s dealt with already with Atleti
and as mentioned in the league thread the Club needs to do something more than just issue a statement condemning this shit. They pride themselves on being the biggest, most diverse and inclusive club in the world while standing for X,Y & Z and now is time to demonstrate that by being proactive and forcing the league to take action. Words are no longer enough.
in terms of a global fanbase and supporters of all races, religions etc located in all parts of the world. Not unlike how Barca, United, Bayern etc are global brands. I should have worded that better.
Got it. I'm sure it came across douchey on my part, but was genuinely curious. That for sure makes sense.
not any more so than all of your other posts /swish that said, you don't have to be globally renowned or have "ultra diverse" supporters to go beyond empty platitudes and take an actual stand but if you're going to brand yourself as such and operate charities, foundations, academies, peñas etc in heavily impoverished and minority area throughout Africa, the middle east, Asia and South America the onus is on you lead from the front and by example and I'd like to see club leadership take more meaningful action.
damn Vini had Rodrygo running in alone if he squares that either way that officiating was certainly something, how does that 2 arm tackle not even warrant a 2nd look?
It’s abc so I’m sure it’s bullshit but it begs the question why aren’t they being more proactive? Like say, bringing Gran Garcia back today instead of waiting until the summer when you’ve just announced that your starting LB will be out the next 2 months?
I was wondering the same. With Tchouameni hurt and Lucas hurt, that leaves Nacho as the only LB…? Camavinga again and just not have a 6?
