I think when people here or anywhere shit on people like her it’s not because that act independently might not be fucked up. It’s that her and her husband ended up being moral warriors and directly causing a lot of human death and suffering by ignoring the most deadly STD in our time.

I’d say as an answer to the question, if she was a great person and tried to get her husband to help with AIDS and he ignored her, that’d help. But she didn’t and instead ignored her gays friends when they were dying of aids and did nothing to speed the administration’s response to the aids epidemic.

The framing of the stories as I’ve seen them were always that Nance was the instigator of those situation, and I’ve never seen an allegation that she was assaulted or pressured. Wouldn’t be a stretch to believe some awful things happened based on the industry and the times. Are there suggestions that she was coerced or assaulted?
