Just watched. It’s a solid stand alone story, but I’m struggling to deal with the lack of consequence to the main timeline. I’m concerned I may have this issue with the multiverse in general. It’s like nothing matters anymore other than a collection of possible stories and outcomes, which are basically infinite.
anyways...it was a clever episode. Peggy staying on the floor instead of going into the observation deck was a nice catalyst and using the Tesseract to power the Iron Man suit piloted by Steve Rogers was great
So the narrator "The Watcher" (Jeffrey Wright) is a bit heavy handed with just being an observer, and also mentioning that these are the heroes of the multiverse. Do we expect to see these heroes in the new multiverse movies and shows? Also, does anyone think he won't be just an observer?
Fucking loved it. God damn Captain Carter was brutal as fuck to some Nazis. Aldo Raine would've been proud. Also at the way they killed Red Skull
I mean that's what the watcher does tho. If you've ever read any of the What if comics the Watcher even in the most dire circumstances (like the universe including the watcher himself literally being destroyed by the Void) the watcher isn't interfering. Jeffery Wright plays the role perfectly.
Could be a great way to bring a certain someone back to life to take over a certain kingdom as a good guy.......
Something poetic about Steve and Peggy still ending up being separated. Loved lots of little nods to the original storyline - "you almost pulled my arm off!" Was surprised we didn't still get a Bucky-Winter Soldier event. Peggy was way more brutal than Steve as Cap. Was awesome.
The misogynysm in house Dirt knows no bounds. Kid goes, “it’s bad enough Captain America is a girl, what’s worse? That girl isn’t even from America!!!”
haven't looked because I'm trying to avoid spoilers, took Meatball to Target yesterday and got an episode spoiled due to a lego set
Episode 2 was really good. I like how they essentially portrayed the "Thanos did nothing wrong" meme.
Yes he is, Eco fascism is never the answer. Especially since he had the power to wish for all the resources needed and instead chose to kill everyone. It was dumb, the comic book reasoning of him just being a simp was so much better
Really fun episode. This is a little neckbeardy but didn't think they should've called T'Challa Star-Lord in this. That name was a personal thing between Quill and his mom.
I said to my girlfriend that it looks like the universe really suffered since it was Peter taken by yondu and not t’challa and right on cue Ego appears. There went that thought.
