Come to Florida y'all Giant water moccasin nabbed in St. Johns County http://jacksonville.com/news/2016-10-12/giant-water-moccasin-nabbed-st-johns-county
Neighborhood I lived in before moving to Dallas this summer is right across the street from where it was caught. The wetland borders the elementary school.
fucking hell saw ~ a 4 footer that I walked up on that was laying next to a pond I was walking around. There was a 200 acre plot of land behind my house growing up that had a bunch of these motherfuckers. I screamed like a little faggot
Florida is basically our Australia. Dangerous shit is everywhere, and everyone just ignores it and acts like it is normal. Fuck that. If you can't swim in lakes where you live without the fear of giant apex predators ending your life, then I want no part of being there. This wildcard will be what they can always rely on to beat whatever Ohio tries to dish out,
Tarantula Found Eating a Snake in Wild for First Time The bloody scene, witnessed in Brazil, confirms that tarantulas are hardly picky eaters http://news.nationalgeographic.com/...s-tarantula&utm_campaign=Content&sf50286774=1
Owsley and other experts? And no I didn't kill it. It was dead already. Saw it when I was walking the dog this morning.
got a bullsnake out of one of my greenhouses the other day. put it inside a standard park-sized trash can and somehow the shitter got out even though the sides were taller than it. scooped it back in, put a lid on, and drove it down the road. really need to snake proof that greenhouse before I step on a rattler while watering or something
Well now I wonder what killed it. It's not beat up or smashed or anything and I just think the low last night/this morning was 60.
2 years and no signs of snakes. Now two in one week. No idea if this can be identified but found a skin today while walking the dog. Owsley
I'd really need to see the head and ventral scales to make an educated guess, but it would still be just that.
The head was all scrunched and tore up. You mean underbelly? I can probably go flip it over and take a pic of that.
walked up on a bullsnake(?) and rattler not too far from my gardens in the last two days. The rattler instantly rose up and started shaking its tail. I don't think they like humans, so I just stood close enough to keep him in defense mode for a while in the hopes it wouldn't want to come back to that area. Never was interested in snakes, don't know much about them and I'm too soft to kill one, just snake proof the gardens and keep my walking paths short.. interesting creatures.
