What point out of nowhere did you know you were getting old?

On the weekend, I am up at 7:00 AM, no matter what. My body no longer allows me to sleep in.

So even if you booze one night real late. You still wake up at 7? That’s a nightmare scenario.

 

yes I will wake up before 6am even in that scenario, last weekend I was at a wedding in LA and was out till 2am……my ass woke up at 6am

 

8:30, but I’m normally up at 4. 5 is sleeping in

 

im asleep by 9pm and awake by 4:30am and 5am is my sleeping in treat. If I don’t go to the gym before 5am I’m not going and that goes for weekends as well

During a trauma activation, I threw my back out examining the patient for pelvic stability. I had to sit in the corner of the trauma bay to gather my composure before quietly excusing myself wondering who was in more pain... me or the patient that was just hit by a car.

Woke up with an aching back and shoulder after I went to Top Golf yesterday. Fucking Top Golf

 

I play 20-40 rounds of golf per year and I always have back soreness the first time or two out at the range every year.

 

Had one glass on wine the other night after a long hiatus. A somewhat heavy pour, but nothing crazy. Felt nothing after but woke up at 4 am hungover

took Meatball to the bank yesterday to open a checking account, he has no idea how to sign his name because the schools stopped teaching cursive years ago

 

Cursive was probably the dumbest thing I ever learned and we devoted a ton of time to it too. A close second is square dancing.

 

What practical application is there for square dancing? At least with cursive knowing how to sign your name is important.

I switched schools between 2nd and 3rd grade and never learned cursive because of what grade level each taught it at. I learned to sign my name and that's it.

 

No idea. We also learned to play a recorder in music class. I guess to stimulate interest in music and dance which I like but square dancing was an odd choice. Prob because of white people

 

guessing it's a way to introduce some cultural heritage from days gone by while simultaneously promoting physical activity that doesn't involve getting blasted by a bunch of rubber balls being thrown at you

There is really not a whole lot that happens in this country that can’t be traced back to racism it seems as one gets older and learns more.

 

The visceral reaction I get whenever I hear a college aged boy shout “Let’s Goooo!!!” when it makes no sense (like saying it after their team has already won) is the oldest thing about me.

there was no gen pop dancing class on the standard Michigan curriculum. Sounds kinda fun tho
