Ham is a Christmas and Easter meat
I voted turkey
i like to double down on Turkey for thanksgiving and Christmas. Ham for Easter
This is acceptable. I will also accept beef tenderloin for Christmas
Meat is murder
Ham is not a Thanksgiving meat.
Ham is a meat we eat to celebrate our salvation from Kosher laws. Therefore it is only appropriate at Christmas and Easter.
Not a big fan of turkey and ham is ok
Ham is also fine on sandwiches and occasionally good elsewhere, but I don’t think it should ever be a main protein for a dish.
I’ve taken to making crab at Christmas and it was a great choice.
Prime Rib for Christmas, Turkey for Thanksgiving, ham for Easter

There are delicious versions of ham, mostly Serrano, but America makes the worst versions mostly.
Kentucky/Virginia makes some good hams.
Like ham, also more of a Christmas meat. I'm just not interested in turkey right now.
A good ham is delicious. In fact, more delicious than turkey. Why is this thread turning into a shitting on ham thread... it has its place, it’s just not a proper main course for Thanksgiving.
I had ham and brisket tonight and have no regrets about my thanksgiving meal

Lamb for Easter
Honey glazed ham is good
when life was normal, my family did lobster on xmas eve then a beef roast on christmas. Was a big fan. Way better than thanksgiving.

Couple slices of both is the best if you can go that way

1 For thanksgiving Turkey is better
2 For every other day of the year Ham is better
My father and uncle beg to differ. They’d live on nothing but ham if they had their choice.
I've never been a fan of those honey baked hams that some folks seem to rave about. They are always over salted/sugary meats.
Really wish the pilgrims had a cow at their disposal
