Another good theory that doesn't require much tinfoil. Top comment also makes a sound point http://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/3si4yf/rhaegars_parentage_spoilers_all/
Theory on what Lyanna's exact last words may have been. Nothing groundbreaking but fun to read. https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/3sy71h/spoilers_all_the_georgetta_stone_deciphering_a/
Had to turn it off the third time he said chim-err-ahh. If you don't pronounce it Kai-merr-ahh get fuccked.
His problem is he'll start with a theory that's relatively reasonable, then he operates under the assumption that that's definitely true, which leads to a slightly more outrageous theory based on the first one. Then that leads to a an even more outrageous theory, and on and on. Then before you know it a theory that began as something like "There's more to Dorne than you think, here's quotes from the book" turns into "The Dornish are actually human-pterodactyl hybrids who were sent to Westeros by the ghost of Charlie Chaplin"
I find his initial premises to be fairly reasonable but he makes huge jumps and assumptions based on his personal beliefs (ie. He's still stuck on R+L=D) to match his conclusion. He also cannot wrap his head around the fact that Martin makes mistakes and that there could be holes in his work.
I'm not much into this theories stuff but someone told me the Job Snow is actually the love child of Neds sister and Robert Baratheon. And the joining of house Dany and Jon is inevitable. Any merit to this?
What I'm saying is that it's literally impossible for Jons parents to be Robert and Lyanna. The timelines don't add up. Could Jon be Lyannas kid? Super strong possibility. Could Jon be Roberts bastard? Sure I guess, but what does that add to the story?
Only if they were married. But I mean, Lyanna was up in the Tower of Joy for over a year while Robert was fighting his rebellion thousands of miles away and last I checked it takes 9 months to conceive a baby. The last time Robert saw Lyanna was at Harrenhal.
so before he went off to war, he tapped dat ass and then Lyanna left. Hence why when ned returns, he has a baby. It never said the age of the baby jon snow when he went back with ned did it?
I didn't read the books so i don't know nearly as much as you bookfags do but i thought the theory was interesting.
Not trying to shit on your dreams here but the theory is pretty awful and there is little to no supporting evidence.
I don't even Spoiler https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/3yhjtw/george_r_r_martin_has_said_the_world_of_asoiaf_is/
Kind of makes sense. Azor Ahai or Hykroom the Hero or whatever the fuck his name was faught against the Others and the Long Night in Essos.
Why even bother anymore with the theories? I was huge on them but now that I know the show is going to spoil the books I ain't going back down the rabbit hole.
George making a island cluster named "The Thousand Islands" fucking destroys me If only there was a hidden valley as well
Re: FAegon/Young Griff Was it ever stated in the books what color of hair Rhaegar and Elia Martell's 2 kids had? Going back to the great bastards and even Aegon the Conqueror's half brother Orys Baratheon there is a history of Targ blond/platinum hair being recessive bittersteel had dark hair, Baratheons have recent Targ ancestor but Robert and his 3 brothers all had dark hair, Martell's iirc have a Targ ancestor yet they tend to look Latino according to GRRM. With hair color used to determine lineage with Cersei and Jamie's kids and Young Griff having to dye his blond hair blue it almost convinces me that FAegon is either a blackfyre descendant or he just has valyrian roots otherwise he would have darker hair and possibly features like a Martell. I'm sure this has come up before by somebody but wanted to throw it out there.
Never was stated IIRC but there's a good chance that they have Targ platinum hair and purple/indigo eyes. There's only a handful of Targs who received features from the other house (Baelor Breakspear, Valarr, Duncan Targaryen, Jon Snow and the various bastards of Aegon IV are the few that come to mind with ~300 years of history).
It wasn't stated but in one of those meet and greet things George stated that Rhaenys looked like a martell; Aegon looked more like a targaryen but not like a targaryen in which both parents have Valyrian blood.
Things that make you go 'Oh, wow' https://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/41pm3q/spoilers_all_telling_the_future_from_the_past_the/
So of the 2 people Jon said Ryam Redwine was a great knight and a terrible hand and Aemon the Dragonknight was a great knight that served 5 kings and that wound up dying protecting his brother Aegon the Unworthy. Interested to see where he goes with that.
