THE RESENTMENT IS MUTUAL Not really but seriously you guys don’t get tired of IPAs/seltzers? I like IPAs (hate seltzers) but they’re over done and all these key lime pie/strawberry Prosecco bullshit IPA permutations are just unnecessary and take up valuable space on the shelf when you could be enjoying something that isn’t entirely brewed for the sake of novelty/a larf
In fairness, I don’t drink any of the weird concoctions you mentioned. But if I go out for dinner and order a beer, it’s likely a Jai Alai or an I-10. As for seltzers, they’re light, refreshing and taste really good. High Noon are better, but I love Vizzy. The White Claw and Truly flavors aren’t very good, IMO.
My grocery store has a delightfully cunty beer section segmented every which way. I also have access to local breweries and can get any style I want with ease. I am honestly curious where you are shopping
I can find things I like but it’s not as easy as it once was and I’m being somewhat hyperbolic. It’s just been unfortunate to watch the shift over the last decade from being able to go to a liquor store with a decent beer selection and have my choice of obscure European and Asian beers to having to settle for the bare minimum on that front because the shelves are overflowing with candy IPAs and seltzers. It has taken a lot of the fun out of sort of “beer adventuring” for me
Still think the original corona flavor pack is the best. 0 sugar in them and all 4 are good flavors I’d say the mic ultra pack is next for me. I like the mango apricot one top Chico are good, but have sugar white claw and truly aren’t very good iyam
can honestly say I’ve never gone into a store and been upset that things I don’t want are taking up room on the shelves
yeaaaaaaaa Sure, welcome to capitalism. This means you aren’t going to the right stores or you live in an area where you should probably move. And I live in Portland, OR, the home of IPA’s and very much accepted secondary home to seltzer’s both from the big brands and local breweries. But if I want the above I have plenty of options.
I don’t even really disagree with you weimar, probably one of the reasons I drink wine way more than beer at this point. But I’m not sure it’s even a fad, sparkling waters are here to stay and as a result so are seltzers.
(High Noon is the tits, white claw is always a stand by, Topo Chico is awesome, Truly sucks asshole and so does Corona seltzer’s)
Disappointed Walker’s ranch water sucks the topo chico seltzer suck but I got the ranch water today and excited to try when I get home
not sure I’ve had one to be honest. But was making a blanket statement. Will have to try (Aka buy a 12 pack for my wife and drink 8 of them)
Are we really putting high noons in the seltzer category? I don’t. High noons are great, but they’re more expensive And will fuck you up
I don’t drink beer much anymore but if I do it’s an IPA. White Claws I can see as appealing if you’re at the pool or beach all day or a you’re a woman and want to pre-party.
I like IPAs, drinking one right now, but the hazy craze jumped the shark a long time ago. I miss the west coast hop bombs. Lots of beer styles deserve more attention. Agree with the Weimar Beer Belly. Give me a nice cask English ale.
i guess I have simple taste like being blown in the jacuzzi, butter in my butthole. So I guess I never had that issue I can always find what I like to drink.
We quit carrying high noons for the Nutrls. The pineapple nutrl is absolutely fantastic. High Noons were really good but they changed the recipe a few months ago
Cayman Jack makes a great margarita seltzer or whatever it’s called. Got the variety pack and the mango one is fantastic
