I don't know how anyone reasonable could have watched the Buffalo game and this week's LV game and thought Brisset is better than Tua.
literally millions of dollars intelligently came in on Miami when Jacoby was named the starter. And then they covered.
Yeah that's what caused money to flow to Miami. Not the fact that Miami was coming off a home loss and the Raiders were coming off a big road win as underdogs.
Jacoby threw the ball 49 times for 215 yards, a 4.4 yard avg. The defense accounted for 25% of their points.
Says the guy that literally made a thread to whine about Tua. This is your thing though. You pick a few things and obsess over them. Big Ben has mind fucked you for the last 24 hours.
i think bama fans just need to understand that your QBs are always going to be shitty in the league it's not they're fault. the rest of the team is too good.
This thread is the NFL version of the Trae Young thread and I'm here for it. (in before someone says but Trae Young is actually good at his sport)
dolphins and bama fans attacking bro to try to cover for the catastrophic mistake of taking tua over herbert
Obviously the video is an exaggeration, but I honestly don't really get why people hate the kid so much. He had a better rookie year than any of this year's rookies are having and he was coming back from major surgery and no off-season. In the only game he played this year he had a decent game in a road division win in NE. The hate is kinda cartoon-ish tbh.
I mean I like Tua but that's just objectively true at this point in their careers. But I still think Tua has a nice NFL career in Miami or elsewhere.
Yup. Just goes to show how funny the draft is. On draft day the vast majority of people thought Tua>Herbert. 3 years ago the bills were the laughing stock of the draft for taking josh Allen. Yet here we are
Oregon fans are so sensitive about their QBs. Thought I got away from you weirdos when mariota bombed out and Winston won that discussion, but I’ve ended up in your second edition of your obsession. Yes. You’re right 1.25 seasons into their careers. Still too early to crown.
Stan culture on Reddit and Twitter really take hold for “controversial” athletes like him. Since everyone loves to dump on Tua, a lot of people kinda go overboard and become major Tua stans. As a Hawks fan we saw it a lot with Trae Young and Cam Reddish
having the arm strength to take deeper drops and still be able to make throws really helps with the bad ol issue
can’t believe how wrong I was about Herbert but I blame Cristobal wonder if Tua’s hip injury effected his arm strength
The Dolphins would have fucked up Herbert so the point is moot. Just expect Murphy's Law when it comes to Chris Grier drafting.
I think it did a bit last year. This year he's had more zip in pre-season and the one regular season game. Which makes sense since this was his first off-season getting to work out since the hip. Him and most other QBs are never going to have Herbert's arm, but Tua's arm is perfectly fine. If he fails it won't be because of that. I knew Herbert had a cannon, could make ridiculous throws, ect. before the draft but I got scared off by the crazy percentage of his throws that were at or behind the LOS because Oregon. I wondered if he would function okay without that safety net. I'll take that L.
the point he and other dolphins fans are making is that we don't debate that right now Herbert is the slam dunk better player. However, it is still to early to close the book on Tua. For example, after year 1, RGIII looked like a better QB than Luck. That obviously changed over time. It's all we have at this point.
this thread covers what i and some dolphins fans think on this entire thing. FWIW I didn’t want to draft Tua, didn’t want Herbert either and was willing to tank again for Lawrence. With that said it’s dumb to toss in the towel on him now, because if history has taught us anything it’s that the first reaction can be wrong a lot to this kind of stuff. He plays behind an awful Oline, his coach has zero interest in making the offense functional, the GM seemingly has zero idea how to draft Olinemen and our coaches offensive play calling would make Jim Tressell look like Mike Leach. It’s mind boggling to me that people could watch the dolphins and think Tua is the issue here
This is correct. Grier is an awful GM and Flores is an exceptional DC who would only become an above average HC if he hired an exceptional OC. Until all of that changes, it's unfair to compare the two.
Luck led 7 game-winning drives in his rookie year and his team went 11-5. What are we talking about folks?
