I mean, they are some of the fastest growing counties in the country. Or they have been the last few years if I recall correctly.
Nashville is in Tennessee, genius. https://www.wsmv.com/news/nashville...cle_818af4ca-fc90-11eb-861b-7315d10d2980.html With the COVID-19 pandemic still lingering around, Nashville is seeing more out-of-state buyers than ever before, thanks to our lower taxes and more relaxed mandates on masks and vaccines. For those reasons, you can expect our housing market to keep soaring. That's chuds fleeing liberal areas.
All of those classify as Nashville metro. When people say that people are moving to Nashville, those counties qualify. "Nashville" isn't just Davidson county.
My Dad got yelled at in a town called Franklin, which I think isnt too far from Nashville, for wearing his mask last year. He is 65 with susceptible conditions. Imagine at yelling at a senior citizen in public.
why are these high odds? there's more trump voters in LA county than like 25 other states combined the idea people can't be self sorting, which you're seeing with the media outlets flocking to nashville, is a weird stance
Still feel like Nashville proper is trending more blue, last election showed it was but yeah the surrounding areas Franklin, Brentwood, Hendersonville, etc have the majority of the right Still trying to have hope with some of the other tech companies like Oracle coming that we can pull in good people
Nashville is an awesome work trip or quick couples weekend getaway. Had two work trips there and the music was great and I don’t really care for country.
Nashville is a cool city, but Broadway is awful and the state as a whole sucks and is 3/4ths full of awful people.
And if it involves stealing jobs from a city and relocating the company to pay employees less while taking advantage of massive tax breaks until the company is ready to rinse and repeat the process, well that's economic development.
May want to finish reading the thread. I wasn’t thinking about rising housing costs. I read it as people leaving because of state politics, which I don’t believe is true. So I asked for a source. But thanks for trying to “get” me.
Obviously anecdotal - bought my house in Spring Hill (35 min south of Nashville) in March of 20. Was worried Id be a covid layoff and I wouldn’t be able to sell because we bought new and about 20% of the neighborhood was still available to be built. Fast forward to today and my house value has increased 60% and my neighbors are moving in paying way over market in cash. 3 families from California, 2 families from New York, and one from lower Alabama. Tech industry and remote work with no income tax seem to be the main attractions. The only reason I’m bringing this up is context is the thread - all of the families are liberal. All great neighbors and friends. Also yes my kid’s school district is the one that made national news with the psychopaths at the school board. For what it’s worth - and again my experience has been less than two years - while the area is certainly conservative, those freaks seem to be the crazy vocal minority.
this is similar to Texans complaining about liberal Californian’s moving there. It’s been shown that people who move to Texas are more conservative than native born Texans, I suspect the same thing is true of Nashville.
Who tf is Brandon Also it’s amazing for people to think all people in blue states are in fact Democrats. Really a good indicator of “conservative” news brain rot. the liberals are coming for your bibles!
The crowd at a NASCAR race?? was changtng Fuck Joe Biden. The reporter said they were chanting Let’s Go Brandon. The chuds ran w it and now it’s a meme
Neighbor who moved to Knoxville from New Jersey is Republican as hell and specifically cited that part of the reason he chose TN was because it was a red state.
The state representation of welfare queens. Bring nothing to the table and just beg for money. A complete drag the country.
Avoided going to my companies headquarters in Franklin for the last 2 years thanks to Covid. Found out today our end of year meeting is back on this year.
Are the liberals the ones who freaked out about that Rv that had that loud tire pop in Nashville or what?
Guessing the Nashville mayor isn’t example a New York City or California dem, but it’s still a city. Curious the haters of blue cities didn’t move to a small town in Tennessee.
The most annoying political argument involving Tennessee is when people rightfully point out that the SCOTUS, in a partisan 5-4 split, put a stop to the recount in Florida in the 2000 presidential election. And the retort is that if only Gore would have had won his home state of Tennessee he still would've won even without Florida IF GORE WON TENNESSEE HE WOULD'VE CARRIED FLORIDA EASILY, YOU FUCKING IDIOT
