What the fuck? If you want to just have some comedians shooting the shit with each other, I can get that, but what the fuck is the point of having an aggressively stupid idiot like Von interview an aggressively immoral tech-fabulist like Altman? How is that a good thing in any way for society?
"Yo, so are there like computers that can think?" and then Altman says something that means absolutely nothing but indicates he wants to work with Peter Thiel to destroy democracy.
Got dragged to a Theo Von show on a couples date in the spring. It was fine, I guess. Super short set. And if you think it couldn’t get worse, I’m going to see Bert Kreischer this week….
Someone could write 45 minutes of decent jokes for him but he wouldn't be able to remember more than 5 minutes of it Not the type of guy who prepares for anything
I don’t want to give Von the benefit of the doubt, but if they were taping he might have been repeating jokes for different takes for the edit. Same with asking someone offstage what’s next.
jsholmes •7h ago It was a surreal tour de force of racism, antisemitism, and gross incompetence. Never seen anything like it. He kept repeating himself over and over to get a good take for the recording. And more than twice he totally forgot the boot and had to ask people backstage for help.
Been to a bunch of shows that are filming. They try to basically never acknowledge it's being filmed if they can. Would be very dumb to have a regular audience and act like you're on a sound stage.
I was at Dan Soder's taping for his last special. On his podcast he talked about when you tape a special you do multiple shows at the same venue wearing the same clothes and either piece shots together or just go with the best night.
SIAP, did y'all already cover this? Wait till you find out his full name. Theodor Capitani von Kurnatowski III Lmao. It tickles me imagining his stories/persona coming from a guy named this------ Also seems his old ass father was of Polish nobility and may or may not have been involved in LA politics
Dan is flawless This is the normal way to do it. Rip off 4 shows over 2 days and then mix them in. You can tell if you watch the crowd in the specials. If you're going to do whatever Theo Vonn did, you absolutely should not charge the crowd to attend.
They knew what they voted for and now they want to play dumb when it’s not as popular. This loser was at the man’s inauguration.
initially thought this was Charlie Kirk and thought “oh shit why is theo gonna end up in hell with Charlie and John Wayne?” My brain is a broken pile of dog shit
Nah he took the money, the access to Trump on his podcast , etc. He knew exactly what Trump was about and he thought being linked to him was cool. I’d have more respect for these clowns if they just said. I know what I voted for and I’m sorry.
He's been on the sidelines at a bunch of Vandy games. Idk why he adopted them. I assume he lives in Nashville
Any idea why he’s rocking the old English D? I see he’s from Louisiana and lives in Nashville in my 30 second sleuthing
