Holy shit. I had no idea. Wish it came out a week earlier so I could watch with my older brothers during thanksgiving. I love Warwick with all my heart and get so excited when Lucas/Gervais throws him a line. My favorite was in Idiot Abroad when Karl was pissed and told him “you should be in that stupid Harry Potter thing” and Warwick was all…”I am in the Harry Potter movies.”
By the book fantasy stuff so far, not hating it, but probably wouldn’t be watching if it was an original thing.
I know it’s not good, but I’m enjoying it for what it is. Trying not to be too critical and just going with it.
That episode was my least favorite. Nice to see the brownies, but the love story stuff was like a WB show.
Yes I have. Just watched it again 2 weeks ago. I wouldn’t say it’s the exact same. It’s much funnier how they handle it.
The kid actors aren’t very good which is part of the problem. Val Kilmer and Joanne Whaley doing a love story can’t compare.
Also comparing anyone in this to the performance Val Kilmer put on just isn’t fair. He was Jack Sparrow long before pirates.
I would strongly recommend it to understand some of the characters but also to appreciate the tone for what it is.
The original is definitely worth watching. I guess you wouldn’t have to but you’d appreciate and enjoy the series more if you watched the movie.
Enjoyed the finale, this show hit exactly what I wanted from it. Cheesy, silly fantasy. Also they nailed the soundtrack the whole way, some classics and some cool covers of classics.
Really enjoyed it as well. Hopefully it gets a season 2. I don’t think Disney + is like Netflix and will just cancel a show after 1 season.
Last few episodes fell very flat for me. I really wanted to like it, but I felt nothing. I am not sure they signaled season 3 as this season may have been considered Book 2. Perhaps next season is the final season and that would be season 3 counting the movie if that is what you mean.
