Picked my save back up last week. Was at that damn Iris von Everec hallway on death march, I think I hate that boss fight the most. That optional quest to go see the university professor at Oxenfurt academy before the end of HoS is just so well done. The professor's journal was super dark, really shows how evil O'Dimm is.
I've done both endings to HoS and the one where you side with O'Dimm is pretty damn messed up. But I got a bad ass saddle out of it.
Eh, arguments can be made for both sides. Olgierd is far from a saint. Honestly, book Geralt would probably take the O’Dimm ending.
I'm wanting to see this alt O'Dimm ending. I'm on New+ and just finished O'Dimm again. Fuck what I have done to miss it.
I believe there is a trade off between the alt ending and going into the mirror riddle I choose going into the riddle because it’s the only way to get the viper steel sword I think
I added this game to my library ages ago when it was a free game one month in the PS Store. Kinda forgot about it behind other games and just downloaded it and started since apparently this is a must play. Hopefully my PS4 has at least 100 hours left in her.
Restart with all your equipment, potions, etc. The armor, weapons, and enemies are scaled up to your starting level; i.e. the basic Kaer Morhen armor is now stronger than Grandmaster level Witcher gear, but you can find “legendary” versions of that gear in the game.
I’ve started this game 4 times and only did like an hour each time. I’m committed to finishing this game and going to start this week. I know it’s good, but just haven’t done it. I start then wait to long and have to restart.
Stick with it. It can be overwhelming at the start but it’s worth it. Don’t give up before you finish the first big Velen storyline
My start is a couple pages back. Starting off, the fighting strategies and functionality is clunky and repetitive. You get used to it and the story, characters, and overall amount of content make up for it by a huge amount. It's probably my favorite open world since Fallout 3.
I am a mess, dying fool. But I cant put this down lol ended up fighting spiders in a cave when I had no business doing that
i swam the F out if there after a couple tries Learning to punch at my own weight. I’ll be back for those fuckers
I remember early on in playing the game thinking they were kicking my ass trying to use my swords so maybe I’ll keep my distance and crossbow them to death. 15 minutes later with barely a dent made, I gave up.
The ones that dodge everything, later in the game, I just started avoiding unless absolutely necessary.
If you haven’t played Skyrim yet then yea you may as well. Maybe go in as a two handed weapon warrior or a mage and somehow magically end up as a stealth archer.
there are two, shadow of war and shadow of Mordor. Both games are excellent. Both take place between the hobbit and lord of the rings movies I believe
