yeah, you level up at like 1/10 of the pace doing side shit as you do the main : / I'm bitching more than I should be because this is a great game, but still
anybody played the side quest with the hunter whos wife has gone missing? Spoiler turns out he is a werewolf I'm level 4 and its a level 6 quest. i cant fucking beat it.
Pro tip when facing shield enemies or higher level human enemies use Axii the hypnosis sign to stun and get a possible execution. Took down level 5 bandit leaders at level 1 with this combo.
I use quen 99% of the time. Only one ive upgraded any. Its backup incase i miss my reposte but thats window is pretty easy to hit. Gwent is fun as hell now that ive figured it out.
Love this game. Just got to the second big area. Also love that Gwent is fun. I have never been so enamored by a video game card game
Gwent is ruined on ps4. on an unrelated note this game is trolling me so hard. everytime i think i'm a witcher god i get butt raped by some gang of monsters. game is fucking awesome though. i'm lvl 6 or 7 at the moment.
Game is so huge, I'm considering skipping it. I don't know if I have 80-100 hours to sink into a game. I usually top out around 45-60.
Just took down Stjepan in Gwent his cards were so much better than mine, but I bled him dry of his cards and won.
Did you beat the guy in the emperors palace? Played him like 5 times and it was just lvl 10 or hero or special cards one after another. Ive beaten everyone but him so far but only played like 5 or 6 dudes. Still feel like i have pretty shitty cards
Several times ive been too low level to beat the monster and just run up and steal the treasure. The icon goes grey so im probably not gonna remember to go back to those monsters now
What are some tips for getting the best potions? I collect everything and make the occasional swallow, alcotest, but is there anything I should be looking out for in particular when it comes to oils/potions that are more effective? Pretty much lost on the whole alchemy thing, could disregard it in the 2nd one.
I have, no joke, about 30 green mutagens. And yet I can't find a 3rd lesser red to upgrade into a regular
Hahaha I just had my first Witcher 3 sexy time. Too funny. As soon as she started hitting on me, I went for all of the sexy time options and it happened. Spoiler Even had a candle lit dinner with her in the forest
Yeah, was he hard for you? Ive had atleast a dozen matches since then and beaten just about everyone first try I want to play with my nilfgaard deck. Its got 15 less total strength than my northern deck with 10 fewer unit cards.
Leveling is really slow in this game, I just did 3 side quests and netted a total of 80 exp... Still level 1, guess I should continue the main story. Also, does merchant's money refill? Both merchants in the first town are broke and my bags are full haha
Just go around to the undiscovered locations and kill monster nests/ unlock areas quickest way to get a lot of XP
How'd you get different leader cards, is it random? Ive got the foltest archer fog one and only that one
I got them for winning against different merchants/inn keeps ironically the one I use is the one I got for beating the guy you can't currently. The Foltest Siege master leader card
I made the mistake of trying to go to the second level while I was only a level 4. Promptly got my ass handed to me.
do you mean the second area? i'm not sure you can get much higher than 4 before you end up there. i was 4 or 5.
yes second level. Well I must be doing something wrong(or I suck) because I got raped right off the bat ran up against one dude who killed me with 2 hits. Do you just stick to the main mission before you hit the question marks?
well i started with the main quest and started with the question marks at around level 6. i thought the game was pretty hard until i got to level 8ish. now its a lot easier (yet big as monsters from witcher contracts etc. will still fuck with me)
Fuck last time i looked at the clock it was liek 830. Time fucking flies playing this game, just get sucked in.
I seem to be slightly better at combat today. I still really don't get it. Sure, I can dodge roll and yolo hack n slash sufficiently but I'd rather learn how it actually works. Switched my primary sign from aard to quen, that seemed to help a bit.
I've yet to use anything but the fire and shield sign and I'm doing pretty well. Think I'm gonna try using the hypnosis/mind control one against human opponents cause sometimes those huge bandit camps fuck me up. Also this game is like the perfect combination between Skyrim and Red Dead: Redemption. I knew the differing sizes of paths and your horse sticking to the path reminded me of a game.....and it was Red Dead. Also, playing as Ciri isn't fun (like its annoying and takes up time, imo) but her sword play is awesome. I wish Geralt had her teleport thing.
