Atrocious defending by that Slovakia player there
That was a pretty finish by the Dierwolf
Rashford to Dier. That has a nice ring to it. Get out your cheque book, Woodward.
Norway suck but Germans have been incredible
Eriksen has been in ridiculous form for a solid couple years now, I'm glad to see it happening for Denmark as well.
Norway has been ass for like 20 years.
yea i think he needed more space and he's getting that now. we just need to win out and we'll at least get 2nd. too bad we were bad the first few games, because we beat the dick of Poland friday.
Good to hear Ozil is still good
Marcus. The. Great.
decent goal, that
Phil Jones doing his best Phil Jones out there.
Closeup of Dele giving the finger. Solid camera work by FS1 for once.
Ox still clueless.
Germany went and manufactured a Miro klose clone
Wilshere-level brains, fuck is wrong with him
Luckily his ankles aren't Wilshere level. It was aimed at Kyle Walker fwiw.
will play the 3rd place team of the other Asian group(Australia or Saudi Arabia) and the winner of that plays CONCACAF
Iran, South Korea, Japan are the automatic qualifiers from Asia thus far. Australia/Saudi will be the fourth depending on the latter's game today.
Saudi Arabia take the lead against Japan
Saudi Arabia qualify.
Australia vs. Syria to decide who plays 4th place Concacaf.
Bolivia v Chile in 30 minutes. Not on TV so watching via acestream.
Saudi Arabia-Syria would've been a shitshow
Iran would just play their national team in Syrian kits
Looks like Chile will miss out
Damn wtf? Who's gonna qualify?
Chile still in it but that final match of qualifying at Brazil will make it tough to come back
Not at all. Chile has Ecuador at home where they should get 3 points. Peru has Argentina away and then Colombia at home so they could easily get only 1 point or 0 points from the final two games.
If Paraguay win tonight against Uruguay it would get very interesting though.
Chile getting 3 points against Ecuador is hardly a given with their current form
Uruguay sure aren't playing very well though don't look in any danger of giving up a goal.
Venezuela just took the lead at Argentina
Nothing definite but sounds like Syria will play their "home game" in Malaysia just as they did this round.
I took into account that Ecuador's current form is pretty bad too.
Icardi. 1-1. Spoiled by fotmob
Venezuela played great. Gonna come down to the last FIFA date in CONMEBOl
So FIFA is now seeding all 4 pots in the WC draw based on coefficient, which would be kind of a big deal if the USMNT wasn't so fucking awful
As in hosts don't get auto pot 1?
France in Pot 2 is bad news
we will almost certainly get argentina/brazil, france, and whoever the best in pot 4 is
Assuming they all qualify, predictions for the starting XI for France, Germany, Spain, and England?
Seeing a lot of flack for this, but all credit to them as long as it's safe. Much more sensible approach than recent Olympics or WC construction nonsense
They said "at least 12" will be selected, so I'm going to do 14.
Syria-Australia AFC playoff leg 1 tomorrow at 8:30 am EST on ESPN3 from Malaysia
this is WaPo Soccer writer:
All three Mexican bidding cities (Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey) are widely expected to make the final cut.
Canada will probably settle for two venues, with Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Edmonton in the running.
16 specific venues in all for the first World Cup with 48 teams (a 50 percent increase).
So I would go
Monterrey (fabulous stadium fwiw)
Toronto (tough call btwn MTL, really no great facility)
Houston (b/c Dallas got it last time)
Las Vegas (idk, could be Dallas/Phoenix/Minny)
