NBA 2K16's Spike Lee movie for season 1 of your career Madden 05's QB vision cone These are the top two
the ball hawking bullshit on the last ncaa game. it completely replaced the jump button on defense. truly awful stuff. also the last few didn't even have a strafe button. like, what the fuck were they trying to accomplish?
Momentum on one of the NCAA games. It pretty much allowed whoever has "momentum" to play ridiculously above their skill level
i don't think a momentum mechanic is necessarily a bad thing but they definitely went overboard with it
I second 2k16's MyCareer. We went from watching stupid cutscenes w/o making decisions to playing only games. In the past versions they'd have scenarios with teammates, etc etc.
not really a gimmick but auto defense on individual players in 2k sucks and has sucked for years i shouldnt have to tell the game that i dont want kyle korver to be given 5 feet of room on the perimeter
I think with refinement it could have been pretty solid. Its not much of a sim when the entire width of the field is in view. The worst/unintentionally funny part of the vision cone was when a low rated rookie QB would play. He'd take so long to find a receiver the play would often result in disaster.
Agreed on the vision cone. I personally hated how overpowered Impact Players in NCAA 2006 were. Adrian Peterson and Reggie Bush were basically Bo Jackson from Tecmo Super Bowl.
The skill badge bullshit in 2k. When it eas first introduced there were about 25 total and ecah player had just a few. Now theres millions and players can have dozens. Why? It was working fine how it was.
NCAA08, percy harvin lined up as tailback. tebow in the gator heavy. aaron hernandez lined up as an HB triple option? sure. tebow up the middle? yep. harvin on a go route? thats 6. domination
