15-Team Parlay: Guy in Delaware enters a $5, 15-team parlay game in which the payout is $100k. He got 14 of 14 last week. His final pick is San Francisco -3 vs. Philly Sunday night. Here’s where it gets tricky – he’s in a no-lose situation. According to Dick Jerardi, “He can bet $50,000 on the Eagles, have both sides and ensure a $50,000 win … What makes this even better for this player is he has a real chance to win both bets.” Good luck to this un-named fellow.

Not sure how he can win both. That doesn't make sense but I would definitely hedge that for sure. Guaranteed 45-50k vs a $100k gamble. Especially that it's the 9ers.

He's got to have $50,000 to bet in the first place though. Not sure whether a bank would front a loan for something like that or not. They should. It would be the easiest money a bank will ever make but bankers are idiots.

He also can't place that bet anywhere but in Vegas or online and since online gambling is technically a legal gray area I'm not sure he'd want to be depositing $50,000 online and then trying to cash that check if that's the side that hits. So basically he has to get $50,000 from somewhere if he doesn't have it already and then find a way to get to Vegas before Sunday to make this bet. Don't get me wrong if I were him I'd find a way to get it done but it's not as simple as it being a can't lose situation for him.

As of right now the only way he could :airquotes: win :airquotes: both is if San Fran wins by 3 exactly since Philly is +3.5 right now. He'd win the 50K on the straight bet for Philly and the push in the parlay would bump it down to a 15 team parlay and he'd get whatever payout that is. Wouldn't call it a GREAT chance to win both as the OP said but since 3 is a very possible outcome he's got a shot. I'd also say that without Kolb the Eagles probably have a decent shot to move to 4 or more by the time Sunday rolls around.

His last play is SF +3, so he will now play Philly and they are at +3. So he has a 6 point middle to win both.

I remember saying if I ever had the Streak 4 The Cash when it used to be for $1 Million if you got 25, I would get as much as I could from rents/family members. Take it to Vegas and bet like $300K on 1 side. And bet the underdog in Vegas so I get extra juice and take the favorite on ESPN

Hopefully this guy hedged it some. Alex Smith sucks and Gore has fumbilitis.

Guy has to be shitting himself right now. Assuming he hedged right now he's got the win on Philly and the push on San Fran. If San Fran takes this to OT he could lose a shitload of money.

So he pushed this game? Does that mean he won?

If he hedged and bet 50K on Philly that should mean he won 50K on Philly and pushed SF +3 which would drop the parlay down to a 14 teamer. Payout on that should be around 40-50K I think.

That is if he did a parlay card. If he did a regular parlay it would drop it down to a 14 teamer

His final pick was San Fran -3. That lost. I doubt a guy doing a $5 parlay found $50k to put on a hedge. My guess is he definitely lost a lot of money compared to what he could have got.

I think the -3 in the OP was a typo. He actually had San Fran +3.
