Need a big time 125(Figueroa?) and a few upper weights to go on another run of 2nd place finishes to Penn State
Interesting. Last I heard the major players in his recruitment were Oklahoma State and Cornell. Victor also has a younger brother in 8th grade that's supposed to be a very good prospect as well, so it could be a 2-for-1 situation.
My buddy I got hired with, coincidentally also the one who has been friends with Miocic since birth, worked for Vic’s dad at his gym. He’s my “inside source” ha
Just making this two posts because it's so beautiful. Gwiz did exactly what Gazzaev wanted him to do by planting his right foot inside Gazzaev's left. I'm shocked I haven't seen this a ton, it's really amazing technique
Jordan Decatur missed weight at 133 again today. I think you can scratch off any plans of him wrestling at 125 this year with permanent marker.
Don't know what happened to Shumate at S32, but he is looking as good as ever at Ironman. Dominating Sam Fisher who is committed to VT.
I do think we'll see a handful of guys retiring after Tokyo to go to MMA, but this one would surprise me a bit. "After Tokyo we will see what happens"
Looks like Kaisanov will get elevated to bronze, giving KAZ FOUR freestyle medals. I will never not believe those brackets were rigged.
Grats bucs. I think this seals the deal of GGCD cheering for Cox over Snyder because he thinks Cox is better now.
He announced it 5 weeks ago and I posted it in here. It's not full time, kinda more of a trial thing. Charges got dropped. Lack of evidence.
SR Nationals are already a lot of fun, some really good matches. About to heat up real quick when the hammers start hitting each other. Carson Kharchla about to get Tyler Berger in his SR level debut, tough luck there for Carson.
Good for Nick, but nothing stopping Eierman from wrestling for Iowa in the spring now, right? Hawks gonna lock up this team title.
Guy is 50 years old I think. He wrestled at the Open a couple years back. Think he lasted a little longer against Kollin.
57kg: Nato-Nahshon Spencer-Vito 65kg: Yianni-McKenna JO-Nick Lee 74kg: Kulchytskyy-Massa Mekhi-Gantt 86kg: Dieringer-Myles Zahid-A Brooks 97kg: Gadson-Moore Zilmer-Walz 125kg: Nelson-Kerkvliet Cassar-Bradley
my picks Nato-Spencer (Spencer) Yianni-JO (JO) Nazar-Mekhi (Mekhi) Dieringer-Zahid (Dieringer) Gadson-Zilmer (Gadsen) Kerkvliet-Cassar (Cassar)
Spencer had some words for Vito after teching him. Vito is really, really good. Gonna compete for titles when he comes back.
McKenna spends the entire 1st period on Yianni's legs but only has 3 points to show for it. 3-1 McKenna at the break. Yianni has done some crazy shit already.
MCKENNA-YIANNI!!!! what a match!!!!!! McKenna gets the takedown for the win at the buzzer! Bricks out!
Kollin Moore over Kyven Gadson! Imagine how good these guys would be if they wrestled for NLWC RockHardEnis39
ummm he's been the #2 guy in the country behind a 3 time gold medalist for the last 3 years? Is that good?
Mekhi locked in for trials. Would that mean he likely won’t wrestling anything else before that event?
I don't think Mekhi has a chance vs Jordan/Dake but this year could still do him good. Today was fun, question why I pay flo $150 a year but that was fantastic wrestling today. Penn State has no finalists but Lee and Brooks were great, Pletcher-Lee is gonna be it at 141 and not that confident after today.
